Announcements – 5^th, 6^th and 7^th March 2010

1. Rev. Fr. Joshi Devasia and Rev. Fr. Shibu Sebastian from India will be conducting a Parish Mission in preparation for the Holy week and Easter. It will be held on 14^th, 15^th, 16^th and 17^th March in English and 18^th, 19^th, 20^th and 21^st in Malayalam after the evening mass. Priests will be available for confession during this mission.

Rev. Fr. Arul Raj S.D.B. will be conducting a Mission in Tamil on 8th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th after the evening mass in the MPH. and on 12^th March at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium.

2. Various Prayer Groups will be conducting Lenten Penitential Rites in the MPH on different days. Kindly refer to the Parish notice board for more details. Parishioners are urged to participate in these services and make a good confession in preparation for the Holy Week and Easter. Priests will be available for confession before each mass. Please make your Easter confession and do not wait for the last moment.

3. The Next Baptism Preparation Course will be on Wednesday, 10^th March at 6:30 pm in the Audio/Video Room. Please get your Bible with you and do not bring children.

4. In preparation for Confirmation for the Adults, a adult confirmation course will be held on 12 th March at the Audio Video room from 8 AM to 4 PM. Course fee is BD.2/- per head. Lunch will be served.

5. The Next Marriage Preparation course will be held on 19^th March in the Audio/Video Room from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm. Registration will take place on the same day prior to the commencement of the course. Course fee is BD.2/- per head. Lunch will be served.

6. Our monthly “Deepening the Catholic Faith” program will be held on Saturday, 13th March after the 6:30 pm Mass in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. All parishioners are requested to participate in the praise and worship and the session to deepen the Catholic Faith.

7. Those who are interested in joining the Eucharistic Ministry are requested to submit their names to the Spiritual Director. Conditions are as follows:

· They must be a good and practicing Catholic

· Their life inside and outside the church must be edifying.

· They must be able to give time for the Church services, must be able to attend regular formation talks on Eucharistic Ministry for one year, twice a month, attend Deepening of the Catholic Faith & Bible study.

8. The Parish Liturgy meeting will be held on 12^th March at 6.45pm in Audio Video Room, all members are requested to attend.

9. Adult Catechism course will be held on Friday 12^th March from 8 AM to 4 PM. All those who registered for

10. The Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held at St. Christopher’s Cathedral this afternoon at 3pm. All are welcome to participate in this service. For further details please refer to the Parish Notice Board.

11. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held this afternoon at 4:00 PM. followed by the Way of the Cross at 4.45pm in the MPH.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY & SATURDAY ONLY

Br. George Devassy, Jesus Youth International Coordinator from Thailand will be leading the sessions on Saturday, 6^th March at 6.30pm onwards in Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium during the Jesus Youth meeting. We request all the Youth of the Parish to attend this spirit-filled opportunity for their spiritual revival and nourishment. Parents can also attend. Special session on 'Leadership' will be held on Sunday, 7th March at 7pm in Byrne Youth Hall. Details are displayed on the parish notice board.
