Dear parishioners, on behalf of my brother Priests and Reverend Sisters, I wish you all a joyous, peace filled, prosperous and happy Holy Family Feast.

 

As announced in my message of this month’s Family Bulletin, the year 2008 is dedicated as the Year of the Family and today we officially inaugurate the year of the Family 2008 on the Feast of the Holy Family and this will conclude on the Feast of Holy Family 2008 . All Parishioners are requested to have special prayers, reflections and intentions that our families may become the sanctuaries of Peace Love and Joy, like the Home of Nazareth.

 

Today 28th December being the Feast of Holy Innocents, there will be the blessing of the Infants after the 5:30 PM  Mass.  On Sunday, the 30th December, the Feast of Holy Family,  there will be the blessing of the families after the 5:30  & 7:00 pm masses. 

 

Today, 28th Dec. immediately after the 5:30pm Mass, there will be the Christmas Get Together for all the Parishioners and Parish Prayer Groups, on the outdoor stage in the Church Compound. There will be no Malayalam Mass at 7:15pm .

Monday 31st December is the last day of the year 2007. Before we enter the New Year 2008, we invite all our parishioners and various Parish Groups to attend the Holy Hour of Adoration at 10:45 PM in the MPH followed by the Solemn Concelebrated Thanksgiving Mass at 12:00 Midnight to thank God for the year 2007 and to ask blessings and graces for the year 2008. Please make time for these Services before you go for other celebrations. We will require flowers to decorate the Altar. Anyone able to offer flowers is  requested to bring them on 30th December.

 

For those who have not yet made their confessions, the Priests will be available during the masses  .

 

Tuesday, 1st January 2007 is the New Year’s Day and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. The schedule of the English masses are at 7:30 am, 9:00 am and 10:30 am, and 5:30 and 7:00 in the evening in the MPH.

 

Friday, 4th January 2008 being the First Friday of the month, Parish Holy Hour will be at 4:15 pm.

 

The Filipino Community will be celebrating the Feast of Santo. Nino on Friday, the 18th January  with a mass at 3:00 pm , in the MPH. Please bring your Sto. Nino statues for blessing during the service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this annual event of the Parish and to make it an event of love, prayer and reunion. The nine nights Novena will be conducted from Wednesday, the 9th January at 8:00 pm in the Audio Video Room. All the devotees of the Infant Jesus are welcome.

 

The 2008 Family Day with the theme “One Parish Family united in Spirit” will be held on February 1st, 2008 in the church grounds from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm with lots of game stalls, food stalls and variety of entertainment. Parishioners, we need your support to make this day a success. Kindly contact the Core Group who’s names are displayed on the notice board , for any assistance.

Our Parish Calendars for 2008 are available for sale in the Religious Gift Corner, in the Church Compound and at the Parish Office Counter. Please make sure you have this Calendar in your homes as the Liturgical Services, daily scripture readings during the year and other information is mentioned in it. Announcements   24th,  & 25th  December 2007

 

Tomorrow  Tuesday, the 25th December, Christmas Day, all the masses will held in Manama Church .  Please see the notice board for mass timings.

 

A special annual Parish event of “Home away from Home” will be organized on Christmas Day – 25 December, in Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium for the domestic or farm workers of our Parish.  There will be Eucharistic celebration, gifts, music, fun and snacks.  It will be free of charge. 

 Timings:   Morning session     :    9:00am to 12:00 Noon

                            Afternoon session   :    3:00 pm to 6:00pm

 

Contributions like cakes, snacks, gifts or cash are welcome towards this event from the prayer groups and parishioners. Food contributions may be delivered on the same day to the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium, while the gift items can be handed over to the Parish Office.

 

The Annual Parish Christmas Dinner Dance will be held on 27th Dec 2007 in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium from 8:00 PM onwards. Invitation Cards for Parishioners at BD 3 per adult and BD 2 for children below 12 are available with various Parish groups. The Band in attendance will be ‘The Night Shades’. Come and enjoy a great evening including a sumptuous dinner.

 

On Friday, the 28th December, immediately after the 5:30 pm Mass, there will be a Christmas Get Together for all the Parishioners, on the outdoor state in the Church Compound. There  will be no Malayalam Mass at 7:15pm on that day.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

Fooor those who need transport on the 24th December, we have made arrangements for buses, which will leave the Bus stop near the Art and Craft Center for Isa Town. The timing for the first trip is at 9:30pm followed by next bus at 10:00pm and 10:30pm. After midnight services the buses will return to Manama. Those who have space available in the cars are requested to kindly pass by the steel gate of the church to give people a lift, on their way to Isa Town for the services.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Announcements   21, 22 & 23rd  December 2007

 

We welcome Fr. Abdallah to our Parish. He is a priest from Lebanon and will conduct Advent mission and Christmas Services to our Arabic and French Community.  We wish him a Spirit filled Ministry.

 

This year we have introduced nine days dawn masses along with Mission as a proximate preparation for Christmas, which is being held every morning at 5:00 am. It is conducted by the visiting priest Fr. Conrad Pesso from India. All parishioners are urged to participate. For more information please refer to the notice board. During this time priests will also be available for confession.



This year again, we have the NOVEL method of preparing ourselves for the celebration of Christmas and sharing our joy with the poor and the needy. All Parishioners and volunteers from the Prayer Groups are requested to register their Spiritual gift to Baby Jesus as an Advent Preparation for Christmas. For details, please see the notice board near the “STAGE/ CRIB AREA”.

 

On Monday 24th December there will be no 6:00 p.m. mass . The Christmas midnight service will be at the Sacred Heart School compound in Isa Town. At 11:15 pm there will be the Nativity Play with Carol Singing.  On Tuesday, the 25th December, Christmas Day, all the masses will held in Manama.  Please check the notice board for mass timings.

 

Parishioners are kindly requested to park their vehicles properly while coming for the midnight service at Isa Town and other services at Manama to avoid blocking traffic. 

 

For those who have not yet completed Confession, they could contact available priests latest by 23rd December before 8:30 pm.

The Next Baptism Preparation Course will be on Wednesday the 12th December at 6:30 pm in the Audio Video Room. Please get your Bible with you and do not bring children.

The Novena in honor of St. Francis Xavier, along with Mass and Konkani Mission is being held daily from 24th November till 2nd December from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. by visiting priest Fr. Gaspar Fernandes. All parishioners are invited to participate.

 

Monday, the 3rd December is the Feast of St. Francis Xavier, Patron of the Missions. There will be a special Mass in Konkani at 7:00 pm in the MPH. All parishioners are invited to participate in it.

 

The Advent begins from today. It is a season during which we are expected to make ourselves worthy to welcome the Baby Jesus in our hearts and homes. Hence we all are urged to prepare for a fruitful celebration of Christmas by frequenting the Sacraments of Penance and the Holy Eucharist and setting right our relationship with God and one another. During this season various communities of our Parish will be conducting Penitential Rites. Please attend in order to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Schedule is displayed on the notice board.

The Wedding Anniversary mass for November celebrants will be on Tuesday, 27th November at 7:00pm in the Mother Church. Celebrants please register your names in the Parish Office.

Our Parish Office will receive Mass Offerings for Souls and Thanksgiving for the Year 2008 from Tuesday, the 27th November. Sunday 5:30 pm mass will be reserved for Pro-Populo said by the Parish Priest for his parishioners.

Today, there will be Adoration conducted by various Parish Groups from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Mother Church. The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred to the Mother Church soon after the 9:00 AM mass and back to the Multipurpose hall at 4:00 PM. The schedule of Adoration is displayed on the Notice Board. The Parish Holy Hour will be at 4:15 pm in the Multipurpose Hall followed by a Holy Mass at 5:30 pm.

The Next Marriage Preparation Course will be held on 19th, 20th & 21st November from 6.30 P.M. to 9.00 P.M. in the Audio Video room.  Please bring your Bible with you. Please note that hereafter, Marriage Preparation Course will be held once in three months on the 3rd Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.

 

We will be celebrating the Feast of Christ the King on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th, and Sunday 25th November. On Friday 23rd November there will be Adoration conducted by the various Parish Groups from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Mother Church. On Thursday 22nd November Parish Music Ministry celebrates the Feast of their Patron St. Cecilia and there will be renewal of their commitments at 6:00 pm Mass. Parish Choir, Cantors and Leaders of the Music Ministry of all prayer groups are invited to attend to renew their commitments. Attendance is compulsory.

A Lady specialist will be addressing on Breast Cancer Awareness this morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. Announcements – 9th , 10th  & 11th November 2007

 

1.     We welcome our Priests after their fruitful Spiritual Retreat, which was held in Abu Dhabi.

 

2.     Fr. Aldo Berardi who had been with us since January 2007 to assist us in our parish ministry especially for the Arabic Community will be leaving us on 18th of this month. We thank him for his generous services and pray that God may bless him with good health and fruitful ministry in the vineyard of the Lord.

 

3.     As per the directive of the Bishop, there will be a special collection for the Doha Church on Friday 9th (Today), Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November at all obligation masses.

 

4.        The Next Baptism Preparation Course will be held on Wednesday 14th November at 6:30 PM in the Audio Video Room. Please get your Bible with you and do not bring children. Please note that hereafter, Baptism Preparation Course will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

7.     We will be celebrating the Feast of Christ the King on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th, and Sunday 25th November. On Friday 23rd November there will be Adoration conducted by the various Parish Groups from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Mother Church. The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred to the Mother Church soon after the 9:00 AM mass and back to the Multipurpose hall at 4:00 PM. The schedule of Adoration is displayed on the Notice Board. The Parish Holy Hour will be at 4:15 pm in the Multipurpose Hall followed by the Holy Mass at 5:30 pm.

 

8.     The Novena in honour of Christ the King, will begin on Wednesday 14th November and will be prayed fifteen minutes before the evening mass, till Thursday 22nd November by the Couples for Christ. All parishioners are urged to participate in it.

 

9.     Monthly  Konkani Mass will be held on Thursday 15th November at 7:30 PM in MPH

 

10. Choir practices for Christmas midnight mass will be held every Friday at 6:45 PM in the Music Room starting from Friday, 9th November. Parishioners who wish to join are requested to attend.

Fr. Felicio Diniz, the former Parish Priest has received the new Assignment from our Bishop Paul Hinder. Fr. Felicio is appointed to be in charge of Awali Church Catholic Community and the out reach. The people of the Kingdom of Bahrain are observing the Holy Month of Ramadan. Let us honor and respect the laws and the religious observances of this country by refraining from eating and drinking in public during the fasting period.  Let us also keep His Majesty the King and his people in our prayers.

 

October is the month of Holy Rosary of our Blessed Virgin Mary. We urge all parishioners to pray the Family Rosary; a powerful weapon God has given us through Mary our Mother to fight evil. The Rosary is prayed in front of the Grotto at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. 6:30 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and 6:00 pm on Saturdays. A Tableau will be presented on the outdoor stage immediately after the Friday and Sunday evening masses, starting from 5th October 2007. Parishioners are requested to stay back and encourage the participants.

For the convenience of our Parishioners, the proposed tentative schedule for additional obligation masses has been introduced from Sun. 9th Sept. Every Sunday   there will be an obligatory mass at 6.30 A.M.. in English in MC and Tagalog  Mass at  7.00 A.M. in  MPH and Saturday 6.30 A.M. mass in English will   be an obligatory Mass in MPH

To prepare Children, teachers and parents for the commencement of the new scholastic year, a special mass in honour of the Holy Spirit will be celebrated on Thursday 20th Sept. at 7.00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Hall to invoke the presence of the Holy Spirit for enlightenment and guidance in the new academic year.  All parents, children, teachers of the parish (including Catechists) are requested to attend this service.

A Nigerian Priest, Rev. Fr. Bernard Ighobrorhie from Olagba, Africa is expected to be in Bahrain in the last week of September. Parishioners from this region are requested to meet the Parish Priest to draw up a programme for a Spiritual Mission 

 

 

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON FRIDAY (Morning Only)

 

 

Today 14th September there will be a meeting for all the parents in the MPH after 9.am. Mass followed by the enrolment of the children for Catechism Classes for this year 2007-2008. It will take place in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium from 10.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. The classes will start on 21st Sept. For more details see the Notice Board

 

Std 4 children who wish to receive First Holy Communion should bring their Baptism Certificates. Also Std 8 children who wish to receive Confirmation should bring their Holy Communion certificates with them during registration.

The Tamil Catholic Community will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Vailankanni on 13th Sept., the Feast Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 13th Sep. at 6.30 p.m. The Novena which is at  6.30 p.m has already started and will continue till 12th Sept.

 

Couples for Christ and its Family Ministries cordially invite married couples and individuals to the 28th Christian Life Program (CLP), which will be held every Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. starting from September 7, to November 12, 2007. For more details please refer to the Notice Board.

 

Social Evenings with games and entertainment are held every Sunday from 8:00 P.M. in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium.  Please note, this is for the recreational needs of our parishioners only.

1.      We welcome Fr. Joy Menachery, OFM. Cap. From St. Thomas Province, Kerala who is appointed in place of Fr. Raphy. We wish him a fruitful ministry in our Parish.

 

2.      We will be celebrating the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul on Friday, 29th June, Saturday 30th June and Sunday, 1st July 2007. Collections made on these days, which is called “Peter Pence”, will be sent to the Holy Father through our Bishop, to help him meet his many commitments to works of Charity. Please keep this in mind and be generous.

 

3.      As already announced, Sacred Heart Parish will conduct the Annual Summer Camp 2007 from July 6th to August 24th 2007. For details please refer to the notice Board.

 

4.      The Friday Arabic Mass will be moved from 11:30 AM to 10:30 AM starting from Friday, 22nd June 2007.

9.      Today, Friday, June 15th, the actual day of “Sacred Heart Feast”, adoration will be held from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm in the Mother Church. The Parish Holy Hour will be at 4:15pm in MPH. The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred soon after the 9:00 am Mass from MPH to Mother Church in Procession. At 4:00 pm The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred back to the MPH. Please refer to the Notice Board for Adoration Schedule. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel will remain closed from 10:00am till 5:15pm.

 

10.  There will be a thanksgiving mass today Friday, 15th June at 5:30pm for Fr. Raphy Vallachira who will be leaving for Salala, Oman. This will be followed by stage program. There will be no Malayalam Mass today. A warm welcome will be accorded to Fr. Joy Menachery, OFM. Cap. From St. Thomas Province, Kerala who is appointed in place of Fr. Raphy. ANNOUNCEMENTS – 8th, 9th & 10th JUNE  2007

 

The charity group of our Parish, POSA is celebrating the feast of their Patron St. Anthony with a thanksgiving Mass on Tuesday, June 12th ,2007 at 6:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall. Novena in preparation for the feast has started from June 3, 2007 everyday in the evenings 10 minutes before the mass.

A Charity Dinner Dance will be held on Thursday, June 14th from 8:00 pm onwards at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium, with Band– The Night Shades in attendance. All proceeds will go towards charity for our Parish. For dance invitation cards kindly contact the Parish Office or any of the POSA members. All Parishioners are invited to participate in both these events.

The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred soon after the 9:00 am Mass from MPH to Mother Church in Procession. At 4:00 pm The Blessed Sacrament will be transferred back to the MPH. As already announced, Sacred Heart Parish will conduct the Annual Summer Camp 2007 from July 6th to August 24th 2007. For details please refer to the notice Board.

 

As Fr. Raphy Vallachira finishes his pastoral ministry in our Parish and moves to Salala in Oman, as the Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Parish, there will be a thanksgiving mass on Friday, 15th June at 5:30pm, followed by stage program. That day there will be no Malayalam Mass. A Second collection will be made on 8th, 9th and 10th June to present a purse to him. All parish co-ordinators along with respective community members are requested to co-operate to arrange a cultural program in honor of Fr. Raphy. On this day a warm welcome will be accorded to Fr. Joy Menachery, OFM. Cap. From St. Thomas Province, Kerala who is appointed in place of Fr. Raphy. A formal welcome will also be given to our new priest from Philipines, Fr. Uldarico OFM Cap, who has been with us since last month.

 

The Next Baptism Preparation Course will be on Wednesday, 13th June at 6:30 pm in the Audio Video Room. Please get your Bible with you and do not bring children.

1.      Couples For Christ and its Family Ministries will conduct the 27th Christian Life Program (CLP) every Friday at 1:30 PM at the Bishop Gremoli Social Hall, starting on June 01, 2007. Registration forms are available at the Parish office and from CFC members. For a detailed program please see the Parish Notice board.

 

2.      Our monthly “Deepening the Catholic Faith” program will be held on Saturday, the 9th June after the 6:30 evening mass in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. All parishioners are requested to participate in the praise and worship and the session to deepen the Catholic Faith.

4.      The charity group of our Parish, POSA is celebrating the feast of their Patron St. Anthony with a thanksgiving Mass on Tuesday, June 12th ,2007 at 6:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall. Novena in preparation for the feast will start from June 3, 2007 everyday in the evenings 10 minutes before the mass.

A Charity Dinner Dance will be held on Thursday, June 14th from 8:00 pm onwards at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium, with Band– The Night Shades in attendance. All proceeds will go towards charity for our Parish. For dance invitation cards kindly contact the Parish Office or any of the POSA members. All Parishioners are invited to participate in both these events.

 

5.      Friday, 8th June, is the Feast of Corpus Christi “Body and Blood of Jesus”. Silent Adoration will take place in the Mother Church by various Parish Groups commencing from 10:00 am to 5:15 pm. ANNOUNCEMENTS – 25th , 26th & 27th MAY 2007

 

 

1.      On Thursday, the 31st May at 7:00pm in the MPH there will be a special mass and procession to celebrate the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s visitation to St. Elizabeth.

Petitions can be dropped in the heart box displayed in the MPH. Please do not put money or valuables items, as all   petitions will be burnt after the procession on 31st May.

First Holy Communion Children and Flores De Mayo participants all dressed in white will offer flowers to our Blessed Virgin Mary after the procession.

Those who have Mother Mary’s statue may bring them for blessing during the Mass.

 

2.      The Wedding Anniversary mass for the May celebrants will be on Tuesday, 29th May at 7:00pm in the Mother Church. Celebrants please register your names in the Parish Office.

Those unable to volunteer could also play the role of a benefactor by providing snacks, refreshments, stationery items, gift prizes, or by recommending sponsors or providing transport to volunteers where possible. Another important appeal goes out for donation of snacks and drinks for the inaugural function and transport for the field trip. There will be a traditional devotion called “Flores De Mayo” on every Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 pm held in the Multipurpose Hall. Everyone, especially the children, may take part in the prayers, petitions and flower offerings to our Blessed Mother. The Flores De Mayo culminates on the Feast of our Lady’s visitation on 31st May.

 

Our monthly “Deepening the Catholic Faith” program will be held on Saturday, 12th May after the 6:30 evening mass in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. All parishioners are requested to participate in the praise and worship and the session to deepen the Catholic Faith.

 

The Next Marriage Preparation Course will be held on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th May from 6:30 to 9:00 pm in the Audio Video Room. All those who wish to attend this course, will have to register their names just before the commencement of the course at 6:30 PM and have to be present on all the three days and on time, failing which they will have to repeat the course at another time. Please bring your Bible with you. Kindly note that the next Marriage Preparation Course will be at the end of August.

We have just begun the Eucharistic Celebrations (Mass) in French, Italian and Spanish languages. For the time being the timings are as follow: Mass in French will be on Saturdays at 5:00pm; while mass in Italian and Spanish will be on alternate Saturdays at 10:00 and 11:00am respectively in the Mother Church.

 

The following persons are proposed to be inducted into the Lay Ministry as Eucharistic Ministers for the year 2007-2008. The name list will be displayed on the Parish Notice Board for two weeks. 1.      Rev. Fr. Eugene Mattioli, OFM, Cap., who had been in this parish for almost 20 years will be celebrating his Golden Jubilee of Priesthood on 16th March. We have requested Rev. Fr. Eugene, to celebrate the Eucharistic sacrifice in our parish on Friday, 13th April at 5:30pm so that we can join him in thanking the Lord. To express our gratitude to Rev. Fr. Eugene, we will have a short felicitation programme after the Eucharistic Celebration.

 

2.      We have invited Rev. Fr. Abdallah El Noufaily. He will conduct a short Mission and Holy Week Services for our Arabic and French Communities. I urge all members of the respective communities to make time to attend these services.

9.     Abstinence is observed as a general rule for every Friday during Lent, applicable to the age of 14 onwards. But for particular circumstances in the Vicariate of Arabia, Abstinence is to be observed on Wednesday during Lent. Out of devotion Abstinence may be observed during the year every Wednesday.

 

10. Eucharistic Fast: The Faithful must abstain from solid food and liquids for one hour before receiving Holy Communion. This regulation is applied to Masses celebrated in the morning, afternoon, evening or at midnight. Water does not break the fast. Those who are sick even though not confined to bed may take any liquid or food as medicines at any time before Holy Communion without asking permission. 

 

11. Easter Duty may be fulfilled any time between the First Sunday in Lent and Trinity Sunday.

7.     Fast and Abstinence are prescribed for Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, limited to the age between 21 to 60.

 

8.     Abstinence is prescribed as a general rule for every Friday in Lent, applicable to the age of 14 onwards. But for particular circumstances in the Vicariate of Arabia, Abstinence is to be observed on Wednesday in Lent. Out of devotion Abstinence may be observed during the year every Wednesday.

 

9.     Eucharistic Fast: The Faithful must abstain from solid food and liquids for one hour before receiving Holy Communion. This regulation is applied to Masses celebrated in the morning, afternoon, evening or at midnight. Water does not break the fast. Those who are sick even though not confined to bed may take any liquid or food as medicines at any time before Holy Communion without asking permission.

ANNOUNCEMENTS –26th, 27th & 28th JANUARY, 2007

 

1.     welcome Rev. Fr. Paul Adambukuam, from India for the Annual Mission in our Parish. He is expected to be with us from 28th January.  As a part of his ministry he will be preaching a Mission in English from 29th January to 2nd February followed by a Mission in Malayalam from 5th to 9th February, 2007. We wish him a Spirit filled Ministry.

 

2.     We are happy to have a new member in the person of Rev. Fr. Aldo Berardi, a French National, belongs to the religious order of the Most Holy Trinity. He was ordained in 1991. He will be helping us in our Parish Ministry especially for French and Arabic speaking community.

 

3.     Due to the Parish Mission on Tuesday, the 30th January 2007, the Wedding Anniversary Mass for the January Celebrants is postponed and it will be held next month along with February celebrants. Celebrants please register your names at the Parish Office.

 

4.     On Wednesday the 31st January, we will be celebrating the Feast of St. Don Bosco at 7:00 pm Mass in the MPH. The Festal Solemn Mass is organized by the Past Pupils of Don Bosco. All benefactors and past pupils of Don Bosco are invited.

1.     Thanks for your prayers, the Priests had a fruitful meeting in Abu Dhabi and they bring you greetings from the Bishop and all priests from the Vicariate.

3.     The Family Day 2007 held on January 12, 2007 was a grand success with God’s blessing and your whole hearted participation. Dear parishioners we thank you for your support and cooperation in making this event a success. For all the blessings received and the good whether on our Annual Parish Family Day, a Thanksgiving Mass will be offered on Monday, 22nd January at 7:00pm at the Multi-Purpose Hall. All the Parishioners along with Prayer Groups and all those who helped in one way or the other are requested to attend.

1.     Today the much awaited Family Day 2007 with the theme, “United In Love & Service”, is held at the church grounds from 10:00am to 9:00pm with the lots of entertainment, games and food stalls. In the morning, after the soft opening at 10:30am, there will be a Bonny Baby Competition for babies’ upto 2 years old. This will be immediately followed by the Fancy Dress Competition for two age groups from 5-8 and 9-12. In the afternoon at 2:00pm there will be cultural programme presented by various parish communities. Special Attraction: There will be Family Day King and Family Day Queen Contest for 16 years and above.

 

2.     Today, due to the Family Day Celebrations, the obligation masses at 9:00 am and 5:30pm will be held at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. The Entrance and exit to the Auditorium will be from the Main door of the Al Zubarah Avenue. There will be no Catechism Classes, No Children Mass at 9:15am, no Youth Mass at 10:15 am, no Arabic Mass at 11:30am and no Malayalam Mass at 7:00pm on that day. Our monthly “Deepening the Catholic Faith” program will be held on Saturday, the 13th January after the 6:30 evening mass in the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. All parishioners are requested to participate in the praise and worship and the session to deepen the Catholic Faith.

 

The Ecumenical week of prayer for Christian Unity will be from 18th to 25th January 2007. Our Parish will be holding the Ecumenical Prayer Service for Christian Unity on Saturday, the 20th January at 7:30 PM in the MPH. We have invited all the recognized Christian churches of Bahrain for this Ecumenical Prayer Service. This year’s theme is “He even makes the deaf to hear…and the mute to speak.” (Mark 7:37). This is an important Parish event. Hence all parishioners of all languages are urged to participate in it as a sign of unity and as One Parish Family.

 

Limited copies of our Parish Calendars for 2007, are available at the Parish Office, the Religious Gift Corner and in Premises of the Church with subsidized rate fils 0.500 only. Please make sure you have this Calendar in your homes as the Liturgical Services, daily scripture readings during the year and other informations are mentioned in it.

 

Family Day Raffle Tickets are on sale. We urge each family to buy at least one book of ten tickets and support this annual raffle. Parishioners are requested to return the counter folios of the sold books along with cash to POSA room on the first floor of the community Centre building.

 

We request all Parents to encourage their children to participate in the Bible Quiz, which is being published every month in the Family Bulletin.

 

Social Evenings with games and entertainment are held every Sunday from 8:00 pm at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. All parishioners are invited. Admission is free for Parishioners.

ANNOUNCEMENTS –1st January, 2007

 

1.     Friday, 5th January 2007 being the First Friday of the month, Parish Holy Hour will be at 4:15 pm in the MPH.

 

2.     The Next Marriage Preparation Course will be held on Monday the 8th, Tuesday the 9th and Wednesday the 10th January from 6:30 to 9:00 pm in the Audio Video Room. Kindly note that the next Marriage Preparation Course will be in the month of May. All those who are getting married before May and wish to attend this course, will have to register their names just before the commencement of the course at 6:30pm and have to be present on all the three days and on time, failing which they will have to repeat the course at another time. Please bring your Bible with you.

 

3.     The Filipino Community will be celebrating the Feast of Sto. Nino on Friday, the 19th January evening at 3 ‘o’ Clock, mass in the MPH. Please bring your Sto. Nino statues for blessing during the service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this annual event of the Parish and to make it an event of love, prayer and reunion. The nine nights Novena will be conducted from Wednesday, the 10th January at 8:00 pm in Room No. 6 at the Community Centre building and from 11th to 18th January in the Audio Video Room.

 

4.     The preparations are in progress for the Family Day 2007, which will be held on 12th January with the theme, “United In Love & Service”. A souvenir will be released on this happy occasion with advertisements and articles. Parishioners we need your support and cooperation for the Family Day 2007. For any assistance please contact the Family Day Core Group whose names are displayed on the Church notice board and Parish Bulletin.

 

5.      Parishioners and Parish Groups are invited to write articles to be published in the souvenir, which will be released on the Family Day, on the 12th January, 2007.

 

6.     Due to the Family Day Celebrations on Friday, the 12th January the obligation masses at 7:30 am, 9:00 am and 5:30pm, will be held at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium. The Entrance and exit to the Auditorium will be at Main door from the Al Zubarah Avenue. 7.     Dear Parishioners our long awaited, Family Day 2007 is fast approaching on Friday, the 12th January. In the morning, after the soft opening at 10:30am, there will be a Bonny Baby Competition for babies’ upto 0-2 years old. This will be immediately followed by the Fancy Dress Competition for two groups from 5-8 and 9-12. Entry forms for both events are available at the Parish Office and the last day for submission to the Parish Office is 8th January 2007.

 

In the afternoon at 2:00pm there will be cultural dances presented by various parish communities. Special Attraction: There will be Family Day King and Family Day Queen Contest for 16 years and above, those who wish to participate please collect the entry forms and return by 8th January 2007.
