“You can Rest a while” Being proud of our Catechists in our Parish Family is a living experience!
“I have chosen you to be with me; I will send you to preach” St. Mark 2: 13. In obedience to the Lord’s choice, they are with Him to sow the seeds, to take care of the soil and nurture the growth! Every Friday, come prepared to share the love of the Master with the children, to serve the little ones with affection and compassion, to enrich the seed of faith, is a tremendous experience for all our catechists. Watch the shining smile on their face, reflecting on their
commitment to their vocation! Family, on one hand and the Parish Family, on the
other hand! One heart in One Body! Great is the loving mother to her children
in the family and the sweet heart to her husband at home, even as a bread
winner and at the same time, constantly has been taking her joyous steps
towards her class room on Fridays! Well, it is the same for my fellow brothers,
Dad in the family, living within the sweetest heart as the husband to the
beloved, working in office and sharing the fatherly love with our children in
the Parish Family! A team of “ Imagine! All in One! Vocation within the vocation! Faith in Action! I marvel their way of living! What keeps them so much conscious of their service to their Master? Many are the causes leading them to be a dedicated servant of the Lord! Probably, their joy is in obeying the Holy Spirit who constantly pours in their heart the Divine Love! Indeed, their faith and hope reflect in their eagerness to bear all the joys and sorrows. Bearing fruits in the service in the vineyard of the Lord is possible only when the heart is pure! Purity springs only from the well of Love!
I often wonder, “Why do we call the Lord, as the Good Shepherd?” I read the passage on the Good Shepherd, reflect and the phrase: “is willing to lay down my life” (St.John 10:11) strikes me the most!” Jesus is the High Priest” who lays down his life for his sheep. Then my heart beats faster to recognize that because Jesus is the High Priest, he is our Good Shepherd! He shares his Priesthood with the Ministerial Priesthood and Common Priesthood. This is where the catechists too are chosen to share the Priesthood of our Lord in a specific field in Catechesis! He gives them the grace to look after the little ones under their care! True to itself, Love is power and power creates! Cheers to Rev. Fr. Thomas Quadros OFM. Cap and Sr. Roseema A.C.for helping this energetic team to persevere in their vocation. Wonderful Vocation, beyond words to describe. Now, they
really need a break to be with the Lord. “Let us go
off by ourselves to some place where we will be alone and you can rest a while”
