SPECIAL COMPETITIONS

 

Batang  Media Essay Writing Competition

 

1.   This contest is open to all registered delegation (one entry per Country)

  1. The competition will be done at the MEKV venue.
  2. A theme will be given at the day of the event.
  3. The participant should be able to produce an essay article with at least 100 words in 1 hour.
  4. The category will be English
  5. Criteria are as follows.

30 Seconds to Share

 

1.   This contest is open to all registered delegation (3 entries per Country)

       2.  Each participant either group or individual will be given 30 seconds to share their

talent.

Bible Quiz

 

1.  This contest is open to all registered delegation (one entry per Country)

      2.   Each team is composed of 4 Senior KFC members and 1 Junior Kids Member.

      3.   Each participating delegation should be familiar with the Old and New

Testament.

      4.   A set of questions pertaining bible facts will be given.  The team who achieves the

highest score wins. (detailed mechanics to follow)

     

 

Kids Preach: I speak for Jesus

 

Description: An evangelistic oratorical competition

Mechanics:

1.   This contest is open to all registered delegation (one entry per Country)

2.      The evangelistic piece should be based on the theme “LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME. DON’T HINDER THEM, FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE”

3.      The evangelistic piece should be age appropriate and suitable for the listening audience especially members of KFC.

4.      The contest piece should be delivered in English. No lip sync / dubbing or background music allowed. No coaching allowed during the contest proper.

5.      Contestants may bring their own lapel microphone should they require it.

6.      Delivery should be within 3-5 minutes per contestant. A deduction of 1 point shall be imposed for every minute in excess of the time limit. A warning bell would be rang (once at 1 min prior and twice at the end of the of 5 min time limit)

7.      A written copy (computer printed) of the contest piece shall be submitted by e-mail to the organizers a week prior to the actual event.

8.      Costumes must be decent and appropriate for the piece. No tube, spaghetti straps, back less outfits, mini skirts and shorts allowed.

9.      Gestures should be decent and appropriate for the piece.

Poster Making Contest

 

1.      This contest is open to all registered delegation (one entry per Country)

2.      Each kid will be given 2 hours on the spot to finish the drawing.

3.      MEKV Special Competitions Committee will provide a 1/8 sized white illustration board, contestant should provide the coloring medium and brushes.
