Competition DYNAMICS 1.
Each country can
have 1 entry in this competition. 2.
Each entry can have
unlimited participants for each group. 3.
The entry will
make their original storyline submitted in a movie- type. It must be
wholesome. There should be no negative,
green, or toilet humor. The actions
should not also be sexually suggestive. Gay or Lesbian acts will not be
tolerated. Non-compliance will result in disqualification. 4.
It is encouraged
for video editing to be a professional as possible. 5.
Video should not
exceed 7 minutes, including entrance and exit. One point will be deducted from the total score
for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the time allotted. 5.< All
videos must be put in a CD or Flash Disk. The videos will be previewed by the
committee before the competition. 6.< Costumes,
props and musical accompaniment may be used to enhance the performance. 7.< Each
country must submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to
the competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 8.< Each
country must submit their entry, along with a script for judges’ reference
during registration. Failure to submit a script will result in a deduction of
one point in the overall score. 7. Winners

The competition
is open to all YFC members. Each country is allowed to have 1 entry in
this competition. 2.
The number of
band members may range from 3 - 10 persons (musicians and singers
combined). One point will be deducted from the total score for every person
less or in excess of the range. 3.
Each band will be
allowed to play two songs; it can be a full band or an acoustic band. Medleys
are not allowed. The songs to be played will be 1 contemporary/pop, and 1
religious revival song. Lyrics should be wholesome. Original compositions are
encouraged. 4.
Total playing
time must not exceed 12 minutes. One
point will be deducted from the total score for every minute or fraction
thereof in excess of the time allotted. 5.
The band look,
which includes costumes of singers and band members, must be decent and proper. 6.
The competition
committee will provide all amplifiers, local microphones and one set of drums.
The band members should bring their own guitars, keyboards and any other
instruments or gadgets. In case they
didn’t bring the required instruments, the group should personally ask other
groups for the instruments that they need to borrow. 7.
Participants are prohibited
from adjusting the amplifier and mixer settings (in sound checks and actual
performance), only with their own instruments and gadgets, so as to ensure
smooth running of conference. Failure to comply will result in disqualification. 8.< Each
country must submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to
the competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 9.< Each
country must submit song lyrics for judges’ reference during registration.
Failure to submit a script will result in a deduction of one point in the
overall score. 10. Winners
shall be announced during the closing of the conference. CRITERIA

The competition
is open to all Youth for Christ members 2.
There should be
only 1 entry per country. 3.
Each dance group
must be composed of 8 - 15 members.
One point will be deducted for every person in excess of the limit. 4.
Maximum time for
performance is 7 minutes including entrance and exit. Time starts once
choreography starts and ends immediately after the last movement. 1 point
will be deducted from the total score for every minute or fraction thereof in
excess of the allotted time. 5.
Movements should
not be vulgar or sexually suggestive. 6.
Costumes must be
decent and proper for the dance. The competition committee reserves the right
not to allow the performance of a group due to costume technicalities. 7.
Use of props and
special effects is highly recommended to make presentation more exciting,
lively and creative. 8.
Music should be
wholesome and lively. Subliminal,
sexually suggestive and vulgar lyrics/language will not be allowed (i.e.
Peaches and Cream, Sex Bomb, Too Close etc). Non compliance with this guideline
will result in disqualification. 9.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 10.
CDs, track number
and the title of the music to be used should be submitted to the YFC MEC
competitions committee on the registration table of the conference. 11.
Winners shall be

The competition
is open to all Youth for Christ members. 2.
There should be
only 1 entry per country. 3.
“The Crew” must
be composed of maximum 5 members.
4.
Each group will
be around the dance floor with the other participating groups. There will be
series of modern dance music which will be played and each “crew” will be
called one by one to execute a dance routine. 5.
Movements should
not be vulgar or sexually suggestive. 6.
Costumes must be
decent and proper for the dance. The competition committee reserves the right
not to allow the performance of a group due to costume technicalities. 7.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 8.

Competition DYNAMICS 1.
This competition
is open to all YFC members. Only 1 pair per country. 2.
The contestants
can choose the song they want to sing, and in any language as long as it is
wholesome and inspiring. It is suggested that the contestant sings an English
song for the benefit of the predominantly English speaking audience. If the
song will not be in English, please produce a translated version. 3.
If a contestant
wants to play live (example: play guitar or piano), the person playing should
be one of the contestants of the same entry, i.e. same country. The competition
committee must also be informed beforehand if a contestant wants to do so. 4.
The time of
performance should not exceed 6 minutes. One point will be deducted from
the total score for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the allotted
time. 5.
Wearing of
costumes is highly encouraged to add on to the appeal and star-like performance.
6.
Songs must be in
a compact disk or flash disk, and must be submitted, along with lyrics for
judges’ reference to the competitions committee at the registration. 7.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the competitions
committee to qualify for the competition. 8.
Winners shall be

Competition DYNAMICS 1.
Each country can
submit 1 entry in this competition. 2.
The group will
choose any Christian song to be used for the video. The music video must not
exceed 7 minutes including enhancers, intro and extro.
A deduction of 1 point per 30 second excess of this limit will be
given. 3.
There is no limit
with the number of persons in the video. Use of effects (3D animation, cartoon,
etc.) is encouraged to enhance the video and make it more attractive. The group
will have the freedom to choose the theme for their music video. 4.
Actions must be
wholesome and depicts YFC as a Christian group that uses creative means of
introducing Christ to others. 5.
It is encouraged
to represent the theme of the conference: Free ME! Free 6.
All entries must
be put in a CD or Flash Disk. The videos will be previewed by the committee
before the competition. 7.
All entries must
be submitted to the competitions committee upon registration. 8.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the

Each country is

The banner’s size
must be 1 meter x 1 meter of any cloth color or texture. 3.
The banner must
be brought to the conference site already done; you can use any material on the
cloth. 4.
The banner design
should reflect how their country is living out a YFC
lifestyle in the 5.
The banner must
include the name of the country. 6.
It will be
displayed in the venue for the duration of the conference. 7.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 8.

Each country can
have to up to 2 entries of YFC Coordinators who serve in their country to
compete. 2.
The competition
aims to honor and showcase the talents of our YFC coordinators who never tire
of supporting us in our journey to Christ. 3.
Any talent can be
shared to entertain the audience. Dangerous stunts such as playing with fire,
juggling knives or walking on broken glass can result to disqualification. 4.
Each competitor
will be allotted 6 minutes. 1 point will be deducted from the
total score for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the allotted
time. 5.
Props and
costumes are encouraged to enhance performance. 6.
The competitions
committee must be informed if any other special gadgets/materials are to be
used. 7.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 8.
Winners shall be

Competition DYNAMICS 1.
Each country can
only have 1 entry. 2.
Each entry is to
be done on a ‘wall’, 1 ½ meter by 1 ½ meter, which will be provided on
the site. 3.
Each entry should
be made in the conference. Participants will be given a time limit of 4
hours to complete the mural. 4.
The design of the
mural should be designed around a ‘conviction statement’ that would also be created
by the participants that should reflect expression of the theme “Free ME!”
(Gal5:13) 5.
The statement
should be as short as possible for it to be easily remembered, similar to an
advertising tagline. 6.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
competitions committee to qualify for the competition. 7.
Winners shall be

Competition DYNAMICS 1.
This competition
is open to all YFC members. Any individual can submit an entry. 2.
This competition
aims to have a logo that would represent YFC Middle East as a whole. 3.
The logo should
have the YFC logo (discreetly for the sake of our KSA brothers and
sisters) or the words YFC Middle East or YFC ME in it. 4.
The logo should
be submitted in a jpeg or psd format, 1024x768 or
higher. 5.
The entry should
be submitted in a CD or Flash Disk upon registration. 6.
In the event that
the creator cannot personally attend the conference, notice should be given to
the competitions committee before on by Tuesday, September 30, 2008. A
copy of the entry should then be submitted upon registration through the other
delegates in the same way. 7.
Entries sent
through email will not be accepted. 8.
Extra credit will
be given to those entries who would submit an explanation for their logo. 9.
Each country must
submit their entry form by Thursday, September 25, 2008, to the
