Rev. Fr. Vincent D'souza O.C.D., the Asst. Parish Priest is the youngest of 6 children, born in Mangalore, South India.

 

An Orientation Course in Xellim, Goa in 1985 influenced his decision to join the Seminary.  He made his simple profession on 15th October 1989, Solemn Profession on May 30th 1995 and was ordained a Deacon on 17th October 1996.  23rd April was the significant day when he was ordained a priest by H.E. Aloysius Paul D'souza, Bishop of Mangalore.

 

He completed his Philosophy studies in Pushpashram, Mysore, Theology at St. Joseph's Seminary, Mangalore, whilst completing his Bachelors of Administration, and later Masters in Sociology along with his commitment as a Conventual, Procurator and Assistant Parish Priest in Coorg and Belgaum.

 

Fr. Vincent is the Spiritual Director for the Charismatic groups.  Since his arrival on 4th September 2001 he is seen as an active Priest, especially amongst the younger parishioners, joining them in sports and other gainful pursuits.  The Konkani speaking congregation of the Parish is benefiting from his strong command of language, especially his sermons at the weekly Konkani Mass.
