A   Big Thank You and Good Bye Dear Friends,

“With Charity towards all and With malice towards none”

 (Abraham Lincoln)

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

Greetings of Peace and Joy.

I am returning to my home province as desired by my superiors in India. I will be leaving Bahrain for good at the end of next week.

The time is ripe to bid good bye to all of you parishioners in this homely parish and to all those who have extended their helping hand in some way or other in this beautiful country in Bahrain. Looking back at the end of almost five years of my tenure as parish  priest I cannot but exclaim with the Psalmist that ‘The Lord is faithful in all His Words and Loving in all His Deeds. ( Psalm: 144:)

In the first place I thank God for His bountiful Blessings and Graces received  to discharge my responsibilities to the best of my ability. I would like also to acknowledge with gratitude the trust and confidence shown by our erstwhile Bishop H.E.Bernard Gremoli, Ofm.Cap. and the present Bishop Paul Hinder, Ofm.Cap. the Vicar Apostolic of Arabia for their guidance and support.

‘Generosity generates Goodwill’: My special thanks to the Royal Family specially to the benevolence of Late Amir, His Highness Shaikh Isa Bin Sulman Al Khalifa whose generosity and goodwill had enabled us to establish Sacred Heart Catholic Church in this beautiful country for the past 70 years. It is providential that multi-national members of this community have experienced the freedom of worship in praising and thanking God in a friendly atmosphere. I would like to place on record on behalf of our Sacred Heart Church community our thankfulness and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness the Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Highness the Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. My sincere thanks also to the government/NGO. Ministries for their continued goodwill and support.

I also acknowledge with thanks to my Brother Priests and Rev. Sisters, staff and all coordinators of this large and vibrant parish for their co-operation.

I wish and cherish the memorable lines of a time tested saying “Coming together is the beginning; Working together is the progress; and Staying together is the success, which has been realized to a great extent becomes a reality. I wish and pray that you continue to extend your goodwill and wholehearted co-operation to my successor Rev.Fr. Diogo Joao Mendonca, who has been appointed by H.E.Bishop Paul Hinder,Ofm.Cap., the Vicare Apostolic of Arabia to succeed me as the parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church. I accord a warm welcome on behalf of the entire parish community and wish him all the best in his Pastoral Ministry.

May God Bless us one and all.

Fr.Thomas Quadros, Ofm. Cap.

Parish Priest.
