YOUR Assistant PARISH PRIEST SPEAKS………
My Dear Parishioners,
AS WE CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF OUR PATRON
We will be celebrating the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the First Day of July. Most of us if not all, have the great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Devotion does not mean only praying and asking what our heart desires for the Lord to do for us but most of all to devote our whole self in loving the Lord wholeheartedly and in total surrender of our will to Him. |

KING HAMAD IN AUDIENCE WITH THE VISITING BISHOPS
“Bahrain is a model of peace and co-existence between religions and sects”, said His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, when he gave audience to our two visiting bishops, His Lordship Bishop Paul Hinder and His Lordship Bishop Camillo Ballin who were accompanied by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Dinesh Mendonca.

“Bahrain has been for ages a haven of tolerance. The kingdom embraces all people and will always remain a model of co-existence and love between religions, sects and peoples,” said His Majesty and reiterated his invitation to Pope Benedict XVI to visit Bahrain in the near future.
His Majesty congratulated Bishop Camillo Ballin on being appointed as the new Vicar Apostolic for Bahrain and stressed the kingdom’s keenness to promote fraternity between the followers of all monotheistic religions. He thanked Bishop Paul for his contribution to the Catholic Church in Bahrain.
The Bishops thanked the King for promoting inter-confessional and inter-sectarian rapprochement and voiced their solidarity with Bahrain and presented him with a scroll assuring prayers to protect Bahrain, the leadership and its loyal people.
