ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 13th, 14th and 15th January 2017

  1. The English Charismatic Prayer Group will be organizing a retreat, preached by a resourced person, Bro. Lenny Soares on the following days, at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium from 7.00pm to 9.00pm:

    On Monday, 16th and Tuesday, 17th January - for adults, with the theme “Wisdom in Christ” - Colossians 2:3.

    On Wednesday, 18th and Thursday, 19th January - for youth, with the theme “Renew your mind with the Word of God” - Romans 12:2.

    A gospel concert will also be held on Friday, 20th January at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium from 11.00am to 4.00pm with food stalls to raise funds towards the construction of our Cathedral.We invite all our parishioners to kindly participate in this event, and encourage your family and friends as well.

  2. Rev. Fr. Amar will celebrate his Ordination Day on Thursday, 19th January. Please pray for his intentions.

  3. The Ecumenical Prayer Service for Christian Unity will be held on Saturday, 21st January at 7.30pm in the Sacred Heart Church. All parishioners are urged to participate in this service.

  4. The Feast of Santo Niño will be celebrated by the Filipino Community on Friday, 27th January at the 11.30am mass, in the Sacred Heart Church. Please bring your Santo Niño statues for blessing during the service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this mass. That day the regular 10.30am Obligation Mass will take place at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.

    The nine nights Novena in English will commence from Wednesday, 18th January every day at 8.00pm in the Mother Church. On the Feast Day, the assembly time for the entrance procession, before the mass, near the outdoor stage at 11.30am. All the devotees of the Infant Jesus are welcome.

  5. The Family Day 2017 with the theme “We are one in the Spirit, one in the Lord,” with Games, Food Stalls and a variety of entertainment programmes, will be held in the church compound on Friday, 3rd February 2017 from 8.00am to 7.00pm.


    There will be a cultural parade by the various communities of our parish. There will also be stage competitions, such as the Prince and Princess Contest for children up to 9 years of age, a Singing Competition for a duo or group, open to all ages and a cultural troop dancing competition which is open to all communities. Entry Forms for all these contests, with further details, are available at the parish office. The last date to submit the Entry Forms is Friday, 27th January. Late entries will not be accepted.

    For any assistance, please visit the Family Day support counter in the church compound or kindly contact the Family Day Core Group members whose names and contact numbers are displayed on the notice boards.

    Parishioners, we appeal to you, for your generosity in helping towards the maintenance of our church by bringing in advertisements, gifts and food items for the family day whichwill help us meet our objectives.

  6. Parishioners who have submitted their photographs for the personalized Desk Calendars, please note that they are now available for collection. Those who have paid, but not submitted their photographs are requested to kindly send them by Sunday, 15th January at the latest, as we will not be accepting any photographs after that date. New requests for personalized desk calendars are not being accepted. Thank you for your co-operation.

  7. Prayer cards have been created for children and families. We encourage each of you to own this precious set and pray them daily. These prayer cards are available in the Church compound or with Fr. Freddy D’Souza. Kindly patronize.
