ANNOUNCEMENTS - 12th, 13th and 14th May 2017

  1. We thank the entire team of “That Cross made the difference” as well as all the sponsors to make this event a great success. The amount collected for charitable purpose is BD. 5835. May God bless you all.

  2. We have invited Rev. Fr. Marcel Barla, a Scripture Scholar to enlighten us on the Bible, the New and Old Testament. This will be held from 15th -17th May from 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the St Padre Pio Social Hall. He will help us explore the scriptures and to love our Bible. All our efforts are driven by one conviction: we believe that when people engage with the Bible, lives can change – for the better. Kindly bring your Bible and a book to take down notes.

  3. The next Marriage Preparation Course will be held on Friday, 19th May in the St. Dominic Savio Hall from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm. Registration will take place on the same day, prior to the commencement of the course. Those who attend the course, kindly bring your Baptism Certificate along with you. The course fee is BD. 5/- per person, inclusive of lunch.

  4. Couples For Christ cordially invite all married couples, widows, widowers, married men or women whose spouses are not in Bahrain to the 77th Christian Life Programme starting from 19th May until 7th July (Every Friday from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm) at the Sat. Padre Pio Hall. Application Forms are available with the Couples for Christ members or at the Parish Office.

  5. The Konkani community will be organizing a musical show “WILSON OLIVERA NITE” on Thursday, 18th May from 7.30pm onwards at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. Entry passes are available in the church compound, with the Konkani Community Coordinators and Fr. Gaspar.

  6. On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima this year, we will be organizing a pilgrimage to Europe from 6th to 23rd August. Those interested, kindly hurry up as only limited seats are available. Please collect the form from the parish office. The last date to submit the form is 30th May. There will also be a pilgrimage to the Holy Land from 10th to 16th July. Those interested in joining are requested to collect the form from the parish office and submit it before 15th May. For further information regarding both pilgrimages, kindly contact Fr. Gaspar.

  7. Those children who have received their First Holy Communion and wish to join the Altar Servers’ Ministry, kindly collect the Forms from the Parish Office and submit the completed Forms before 31st May.

  8. The Retreat for children of age groups 7 to 20, will be held for four days from 26th to 29th June. Forms are available at the Religious gift Corner, Catechists office and the Parish office. Registration fee is BD. 10/- per child. All parishioners are requested to make full use of this great opportunity for the spiritual growth of their children.

  10. Tomorrow we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Mother Mary appearing to the children in Fatima. A solemn mass will be celebrated at 6.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church to mark this occasion followed by procession and Rosary in the church compound. We invite you to attend in large numbers.

  11. Information Technology and the Internet has become an integral part of a youngster’s life. While there are many benefits, the Internet has exposed our children to a multitude of threats as well. An awareness session by Cyber Security expert, renowned Ravi Jayasundera will cover a range of topics. This session is to educate parents and adults in understanding the various threats to children or even adults may be exposed to, while using the Internet and related digital resources

    The presentation will be held this morning from 10.15 am to 11.45 am at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. We urge all parents to attend and it is open to all.
