Poor of Saint Anthony


Founded in 1995, Poor of St. Anthony, better known as POSA, the charity group of the Sacred Heart Church was founded in 1995. POSA as it is rightly known, it’s Patron Saint is St. Anthony of Padua; with a perspective to serve the community in a better way.

The POSA group meets every Tuesday evening at the Parish premises to cater to the needy and the less fortunate of the Parish. The POSA Book Stall; the Thrift Shop and the Parish Canteen are operated under the auspices of the POSA group. The group also counsel and help the needy parishioners at various possible levels.

The POSA group consists of fifteen active members and operates under the guidance of its Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Dinesh J. Mendonca, OFM. Cap., Parish Priest.
