Announcements for 17th, 18th and 19th June 2022

  1. On Thursday, 23rd June, we celebrate the Nativity of St John the Baptist.
  2. The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Patron of our Parish will be celebrated on Friday, 24th June. The Feast Mass will be celebrated at 9.00 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. We encourage parishioners who would like to contribute towards feeding the hungry and less fortunate to join the offertory procession before the commencement of the mass with their contributions, either in kind or in cash. Cash should be placed in the folders which are kept on a table at the entrance of the church. All offerings are to be handed over to the celebrant.
    The Novena in preparation for the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has commenced and is being prayed every day after the evening Mass. Kindly note that on Tuesday, 21st June, the Novena in honour of St. Anthony will not be prayed and on Wednesday, 22nd June there will be only one Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help after the 5.30 pm mass.   3. On Friday, 24th June, we observe the World Day of Prayer for the sanctification of priests.
  4. On Saturday, 25th June, we celebrate the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary during the morning mass. We observe the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time obligation mass in the evening and on Sunday, 26th June.
  5. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for June celebrants will be held on Saturday, 25th June at the 6.30 pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Wednesday, 22nd June.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY MORNING MASSES ONLY

  1. Today as we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Silent Adoration at the Mother Church until 3.35 pm, concluding with a Parish Holy Hour in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 3.45 pm. We request all parishioners to attend this special silent adoration service. The Adoration Chapel will remain closed today. For the Adoration schedule, please refer to the Parish Notice Board.
