1. The Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the King, will be celebrated on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November. On Friday, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration at the Mother Church from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. For the Adoration schedule, please refer to the Parish Notice Board. On this day, the Adoration Chapel will remain closed from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm.
2. We celebrate the Memorial of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Monday, 21st November.
3. The Feast of St. Francis Xavier will be celebrated by the Konkani Community on Friday, 2nd December at 8:30 am. The Novena in preparation for the Feast will commence on Wednesday, 23rd November.
4. To celebrate the Feast of St. Cecilia, the Patroness of the Musicians, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Music Ministry would like to invite all the choir members from different communities to renew their commitment on Tuesday, 22nd November at the 6:30 pm Mass.
5. There will be a Charismatic Retreat in Konkani conducted by Br. Prakash D’souza from the Divine Mercy Konkani Charismatic Group, Bandra East from 5th December to 8th December. On 5th, 6th and 7th December, the Retreat will be from 7pm to 9pm. On Thursday, 8th December, there will be a Night Vigil from 7pm to 2am. All Konkani speaking parishioners are requested to make time and attend this Retreat for their spiritual enrichment.
6. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 25th November in the St. Clare Audio-Video Room from 7.45am to 5.00 pm. Those taking part are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of confirmation before 23rd November. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
7. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for November celebrants will be held on Saturday, 26th November at the 6.30 pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 25th November.
8. To mark the historic event of the visit of the Holy Father to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a commemorative gold-plated coin has been released depicting the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia on one side and the portrait of the Holy Father on the other. As this is a limited edition, all parishioners are urged to avail of this unique memorabilia while stocks last.
9. All parishioners are requested to avail of the Souvenirs at the Merchandise Counter which will be open during all obligation masses.
10. It is not too late to participate in the Souvenir Book which is being released to mark the visit of the Holy Father, and will be distributed worldwide.
