Announcements for 18th, 19th & 20th November 2022

  1. We celebrate the Memorial of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Monday, 21st November.
  2. With effect from January 2023, the Sacrament of Baptism will only be held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony will be held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday.
  3. To celebrate the Feast of St. Cecilia, the Patroness of the Musicians, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Music Ministry would like to invite all the choir members from different communities to renew their commitment on Tuesday, 22nd November at the 6:30 pm Mass.
  4. The Feast of St. Francis Xavier will be celebrated by the Konkani Community on Friday, 2nd December at 8:30 am. The Novena in preparation for the Feast will commence on Wednesday, 23rd November.
  5. There will be a Charismatic Retreat in Konkani conducted by Br. Prakash D’souza from the Divine Mercy Konkani Charismatic Group, India on Monday, 5th December to Thursday, 8th December. All Konkani speaking parishioners are requested to make time and attend this Retreat for their spiritual enrichment.
  6. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 25th November in the St. Clare Audio-Video Room from 7.45am to 5.00 pm. Those taking part are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of confirmation before 23rd November. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
  7. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for November celebrants will be held on Saturday, 26th November at the 6.30 pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 25th November.
  8. To mark the historic event of the visit of the Holy Father to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a commemorative gold-plated coin has been released depicting the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia on one side and the portrait of the Holy Father on the other. As this is a limited edition, all parishioners are urged to avail of this unique memorabilia while stocks last.
