On November 7th Thursday evening and on Friday 8th morning then there will be various competitions organized for the parish catechism children to bring out their talents. For Registration forms, you may contact the Parish Office or the Catechism office on Friday between 7.30 am and 12 noon. The last day to return registrations forms is 5th November 2019. For further details you may refer to the Banner in the church compound.
There will be catechism classes and youth mass as usual for Standards 6 to 12 on 8th November. Standards 1-3 will not have catechism classes on 8th November 2019.
To commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 80th Anniversary celebrations we will be launching a Souvenir in November 2019. We request your support for all the blessings you have received over the years by contributing your family or community photographs. A special booth is set up in the church compound where volunteers are ready to accept your photographs and answer any queries you may have. We kindly request parishioners who have contact details of organizations we can approach to get support for the souvenir, to please come forward and give the information to the individuals operating the 80th Anniversary booth. As we are progressing with the cathedral construction, we remind you of your monthly contribution of BD. 2 from each working member of the family towards the cathedral project which can be put in the boxes labelled Cathedral project kept at the entrance of the Sacred heart church. The third annual Family Day of the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Visitation will be held on Friday 15 November at the Awali Grounds from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. We invite all parishioners to patronize this annual event and extend your support by buying or helping to sell Lucky Draw tickets priced at BD.1 each. On that day, bus services will be arranged from Sacred Heart Church to Awali and back again. All proceeds will go towards the Construction of the new Cathedral.
As announced earlier, the one-day programme, “THE GREATEST CALL” for all the nurses of our parish will be on Saturday, 16th November. We encourage all the nurses in our parish to make use of this opportunity. The registration has already begun, in the church compound, after all the obligation masses. The registration fee will be BD. 2/- per person. You may refer to the poster in the compound, for more details.
Kindly return the Mission Sunday envelopes with your generous contribution by dropping them in the boxes marked Mission Sunday, which are kept at the entrance of the Mother Church and the Sacred Heart Church.
The Sri Lanka Catholic Community would like to invite all the Parishioners to the Sri Lankan Food Festival, which will be held in the church compound on 8th of November from 7:30am to 1 pm. Looking forward to your presence.
All Souls Day will be celebrated tomorrow Saturday, 2nd November. Masses in English in the morning will be at 6.25 am, 7.30 am and 9.00 am and in the evening at 6.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. For masses in other languages, you may refer to the Notice Board.
On All Souls Day, the Salmabad Cemetery will be blessed at 1.30 pm and the old Manama Cemetery at 3.00 pm.
The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held this afternoon at 3.45 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
The Catechism Ministry of our Parish will be celebrating Catechism Fun Day today in the church compound from7.45 am to 2.00 pm with games and food stalls. Kindly patronize.
