- Awakening 2024 – We thank Almighty God for successfully conducting 4 Days of Kids & Teens Retreat from 29th June till 02nd July . More than 1150 children from Manama & Awali participated in the retreat. Thanks to all our Dear Parents / Animators from Anointing Fire Catholic Youth Ministry / Priests / Nuns / Registration team / Retreat Volunteers / Ushers / Nurses Ministry / Community Coordinators / Ministry leaders / Pastoral Council members and Church staffs for their whole hearted support for making this Retreat memorable and Blessed. Together as one Family and one Team we could organize this Retreat . Let’s continue to pray for our Children and for our Parish. May God Bless us all.
- The Urdu-Hindi community will celebrate the Feast of their patron, St Thomas, the Apostle on Friday, 5th July with a Holy Mass at 3.45 pm in the Mother Church, followed by a cultural programme and fellowship in the Social Hall.
- The Malayalam Community will celebrate the Feast of St. Thomas, the Apostle, with a Mass on Friday, 5th July at 7.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. For details of the mass and celebrations, please refer to banner displayed in the courtyard.
- The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This month, the First Saturday devotion will be held on 6th July. The Holy Rosary for world peace will be prayed at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us come together as one family to honour the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
- Tuesday, 9th July is the Ordination Day of Fr. Nicolson. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at the 6.30 pm mass. Sunday, 14th July is the Ordination Day of Fr. Rolly. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at the 5.30 pm mass. Please participate and join us as we pray for their intentions.
- The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 10th July from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
- There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 19th July in the St. Dominic Savio Hall from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 18th July. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
- The Pontifical Society of Holy Childhood of Jesus, a society established to help children in developing a spirit and a missionary leadership, was installed on Friday, 21st June during the 8.45 am mass, with 33 children aged 8 to 13, who took a pledge to continue Jesus’ mission of transforming hearts. Let us remember these children in our prayers.
- The Parish Music Ministry invites musicians to serve for masses, as well as members to sing for the English services on Friday at 7am and on Sunday at 7pm. Interested parties may register their names and contact details at the Parish Office or with any of the choir members.
- The Lectors Ministry invites all parishioners who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, are committed and can proclaim the Word of God loudly and clearly, to register at the Parish Office with their name, contact number and email address by 24th August.
- The Holy Door pilgrimage will be conducted at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia every Monday immediately after the 7.00 pm Mass in English. Pilgrims entering through the Holy Door are eligible to receive plenary indulgences for themselves or the souls of the faithful departed.
- The Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia proudly presents the commemorative coin of St. Arethas and Our Lady of Arabia, with the blessings of His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi. This coin has the image of St Arethas on one side and the image of Our Lady of Arabia on the other. Priced at BD10 per piece, the income generated from selling the same will be used towards the construction of our Bishop’s House. Let us keep this coin in our homes as a souvenir and a blessing. May the intercession of Our Lady of Arabia, and St. Arethas and Companions help us all.
