1. The papal intention for the month of August is to pray for the political leaders of the world, so that they may be at the service of their own people.
2. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 2nd August at 3.45 pm.
3. The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  This month, the First Saturday devotion will be held on 3rd August.  The Holy Rosary for world peace will be prayed at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us come together as one family to honour the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
4. On Sunday, 4th August, as the Church celebrates the Feast of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of Priests and Parish Priests, let us keep all the clergy in our prayers.
5. We celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord on Tuesday, 6th August at the 6.30 pm mass.
6. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 14th August from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room.  For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
7. On Wednesday, 14th August, we observe the Vigil of the Assumption. On that day, the 7.00 pm mass will be a vigil mass in our Vicariate. On Thursday, 15th August, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is a day of obligation. On that day, the masses in English will be held at 6.20 am, 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm. For masses in other languages, please refer to the Parish Notice Board.
8. The Sacred Heart Church is pleased to announce the establishment a Parish Youth Group for participating in parish activities. Youth members from various language groups are encouraged to unite and form this group. This presents a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, spiritual growth, and will be lots of fun. 9. The Jesus Youth Help Desk in the courtyard will be relaunched and open on Fridays after the 7.00 pm Malayalam Mass, Saturdays after the 6.30 pm English Mass, and Sundays after the 7.00 pm English Mass. The Help Desk is an endeavor to connect Jesus Youth with the parish, and will serve as a point of contact for various parish activities & events which will encourage the building of the parish community. 10. Today, 2^nd August we honor the Feast Day of Our Lady of Portiuncula, a day abundant with grace and blessings. Visitors to Portiuncula and Franciscan churches have the chance to obtain indulgence, a special favor bestowed by the Holy See. It is recommended today that we partake in spiritual practices like Confession, attending Mass, prayer, and dedicating intentions for the Holy Father on this special occasion. Embrace this opportunity for spiritual renewal and grace on this auspicious day.
