ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 30TH AND 31ST AUG. & 1ST SEPT. 2024

  1. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for July and August celebrants will be held on Saturday, 31st August at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 30th August.
  2. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 6th September at 3.45 pm.
  3. The Konkani Community will celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Monti Fest on Friday, 6th September at 8.15 am with the blessing of the new corn and floral offerings by children at the outdoor stage followed by the Feast Mass in Konkani at the Sacred Heart Church.  This will be followed by a short cultural programme and lunch at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.  Due to this Feast Mass, the regular 8.45 am English Obligation Mass will be at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
    The 9-day Novena followed by Mass, conducted by Fr. Ivan Pinto from India has begun.  For Novena timings and venues, please refer to the Notice Board.
  4. The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  This month, the First Saturday devotion will be held on 7th September.  The Holy Rosary for world peace will be prayed at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us come together as one family to honour the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  5. On Saturday, 7th September, as we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the 6.20 am mass, there will be a Marian Apparitions procession conducted by the Legion of Mary at the 6.30 pm mass on that day. Parishioners interested in enrolling their daughters for the procession are requested to register at the Parish Office. Participation is open to all and the last date for enrollment is Thursday, 5th September.
  6. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 11th September from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room.  For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
  7. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 20th September at Audio Video room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 19th September. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
  8. The Tamil Community will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Valankanni on Thursday, 12th September. Due to this Feast Mass, the regular 6.30 pm English Mass will be at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. The 9-day Novena will begin on Tuesday, 3rd September with the flag hoisting at 6.30 pm in the courtyard. For Novena timings and venues, please refer to the banner in the church compound.
  9. CFC Singles for Christ invite all single men and women from 21 to 40 years of age to participate in a Christian Life Programme which will be held every Friday at 1.30 pm from 6th September to 25th October. This will be conducted in Rooms 15 and 16 of the St. Francis Centre. Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office and from any CFC Singles for Christ member. 
  10. The El Shaddai Bahrain Chapter invites all Filipinos to participate in the Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar which will be held every Friday with effect from 6th September from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the St Lawrence Hall.
  11. The Catechism Ministry announces the commencement of registration for students taking Catechism Classes in English.

    Registration, Payment and Sale of Books for all classes will be held on:

    Friday, 30th August in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium from 8.00 am to 11.30 am.
    Friday, 6th September in the classroom above the canteen from 4.30 pm to 06.30 pm.
  12. All Catechism Children have to present their Progress Card and CPR No. at the time of Registration. New Registrants for Standard 1 need to submit a copy of their Baptism Certificate and CPR No. New Registrants for other Grades have to submit a Transfer Certificate and a copy of their Baptism Certificate at the time of Registration along with their CPR No. Catechism Class for Standard 4 to Standard 12 will commence on 13th September. Standard 1 to Standard 3 classes will commence on 20th September.
  13. The registration of Malayalam Catechism Students will take place on Thursday, 5th September from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm.
    A copy of the CPR and Baptism Certificate must be submitted by new registrants for Standard 1. In addition to the CPR copy, new registrants for other Grades must also bring a copy of their Baptism Certificate and a Transfer Certificate with them. Students from Standard 1 to 7 should bring their CPR and Progress Card at the time of registration.  Kindly note that only cash payments will be accepted. Catechism classes for Standard 1 to 8 will commence on 19th September.
