- We are celebrating the Extraordinary Jubilee of the Martyrdom of St. Arethas and his Companions, and will receive the Holy Relic of St. Arethas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, 13th September at 9.45 am. All are invited to this unique opportunity to venerate the Holy Relic of St. Arethas which will be kept in our Mother Church for a month. Don’t miss this chance to experience the presence of St. Arethas and seek his prayers, asking for his powerful intercession to draw you closer to Christ. All are invited to join the procession from the Main gate to Mother Church.
- We celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on Saturday, 14th September.
- On Saturday, 14th September, Fr. Anthony Almazan celebrates the Anniversary of his Ordination Day. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at the 6.30 pm mass. Please join us as we pray for his intentions.
- The Filipino Community will celebrate the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz on Friday, 27th September at 12.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. The Triduum Mass in honour of this Feast will be held from 24th to 26th September in the Mother church at 8.00 pm.
- There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 20th September at the Audio Video Room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 19th September. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
- The Wedding Anniversary Mass for September celebrants will be held on Saturday, 28th September at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 27th September.
- Registration, Payment and Sale of Books for all classes of children attending Catechism classes in English will be held on Friday, 13th September near the Grotto from 7.15 am to 8.30 am and again from 10.30 am to 11.15 am. The Registration & Textbook Counters will remain closed from 8.30 am to 10.30 am during the Catechism Inaugural Mass. Payment will be accepted through machines only. i.e. credit card, debit card, benefit pay, etc. Cash payments will not be accepted.
All Catechism Children have to present their Progress Card and CPR No. at the time of Registration. New Registrants for Standard 1 need to submit a copy of their Baptism Certificate and CPR No.
New Registrants for other Grades have to submit a Transfer Certificate and a copy of their Baptism Certificate at the time of Registration along with their CPR No.
Catechism Class for Standard 4 to Standard 12 will commence on 13th September with Catechism Inaugural Mass in the Sacred Heart Church at 8:45 am followed by Class until 11.30 am. Due to this, the regular 8.45 am obligation Mass in English will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
Standard 1 to Standard 3 classes will commence on 20th September. - Catechism classes for Malayalam Students for Standard 1 to 8 will commence on 19th September.
- Couples for Christ and its Family Ministries extend an invitation to allmarried couples and individuals to participate in the 106th Christian Life Programme which will be held from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm every Friday from 4th October to 29th November. This is an integrated course intended to lead the participants into a renewed understanding of God’s call to them as Catholics. Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office and from any Couples for Christ members.
- The stigmata of Saint Francis of Assisi are the wounds of Christ that miraculously manifested on his body in 1224, while he was praying on Mount Alverna. To celebrate the 800th Jubilee of this significant event, the Third Order of St. Francis at Sacred Heart Church warmly invites everyone to join in prayer on Tuesday, September 17, following the evening Mass.
