ANNOUNCEMENTS – 27TH, 28TH & 29TH SEPTEMBER 2024

  1. Monday, 30th September is the Birthday of Our Bishop Aldo Berardi. Please pray for his intentions.
  2. The Filipino Community will celebrate the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz on Friday, 27th September at 12.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
  3. A Parish Youth Meeting will be held on Friday, 27th September at 11.30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Hall. All youth aged between 17 to 35 may register using the Google Form available in their community group.
  4. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for September celebrants will be held on Saturday, 28th September at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 27th September.
  5. October is the month of the Holy Rosary. During the month of October, the Holy Rosary will be prayed every day at the Grotto 40 minutes before the evening mass. We encourage you to pray the Rosary daily in your homes. Remember, the family that prays together stays together.
  6. October has traditionally been the month of the mission. All the faithful are reminded and invited to awaken their missionary spirit through prayer, witness and contribution. This year, in the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia, we will celebrate World Mission Sunday on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday, 20th October.  During these 3 days, the collection made during mass and envelope monetary collection will go to the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of Faith. A mission of all requires the commitment of all.
  7. The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order will be celebrated on Thursday, 3rd October with a Solemn Mass at 6.30 pm, followed by the enactment of the Transitus, which will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. All are invited to attend.
    The 9-day Novena has already begun. Due to the novena, on Wednesday, 2nd October there will be only one Novena  in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help after the 5.30 pm Mass.
  8. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 4th October at 3.45 pm.
  9. The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  This month, the First Saturday devotion will be held on 5th October.  The Holy Rosary for world peace will be prayed at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us come together as one family to honour the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  10. The Arabic Community celebrates their Anniversary on the occasion on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, in Awali, on Saturday, 5th October at 4.00 pm. All are welcome.
  11. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be held on Wednesday, 9th October from 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
  12. Couples for Christ and its Family Ministries extend an invitation to allmarried couples and individuals to participate in the 106th Christian Life Programme which will be held from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm every Friday from 4th October to 29th November. This is an integrated course intended to lead the participants into a renewed understanding of God’s call to them as Catholics. Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office and from any Couples for Christ members. 
  13. The Holy Relic of St. Arethas has been placed in the Mother Church for a month. You are invited to this unique opportunity to venerate this relic and experience the presence of St. Arethas, asking for his powerful intercession to draw you closer to Christ.
  14. As we conclude the Jubilee year of St. Arethas and Companions, there are commemorative coins of St. Arethas and Our Lady of Arabia available at the Parish Office and in the Religious Gift Corner. This coin has the image of St Arethas on one side and the image of Our Lady of Arabia on the other. Priced at BD10 per piece, the income generated from selling the same will be used towards the construction of our Bishop’s House.
