  1. The Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Universal King, will be celebrated on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November. On Friday, 22nd November, being the Feast of Christ the King, there will be a Holy Hour of Adoration with the Blessed Sacrament being kept at the Sacred Heart Church after the 8.45 am Mass. All parishioners are urged to spend some time in front of our Lord. The Adoration Chapel will be kept closed during this time.
  2. We are delighted to announce that our Parish Family day is scheduled to be held on 7th February 2025.The unveiling of the logo and the official launch of Family day support coupon will take place on next Friday 29th November on the outdoor stage soon after the 8:45 am mass. All are requested to join this special event.
  3. On Friday, 22nd November there will be Family Day at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm. Due to the Family Day at Awali, the 10.30 am Youth Mass and the Catechism classes have been cancelled.
  4. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church Music Ministry will celebrate the Feast of St. Cecilia, the Patroness of Musicians by renewing their commitment on Thursday, 28thNovember at the 6.30 pm Mass.
  5. The Konkani Community will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis Xavier on Friday, 6th December. The flag hoisting will be held on 26th November, and Novenas will commence on 27th November. The Feast celebrations on 6th December will begin with the blessing of the relic at the outdoor stage at 8.00 am followed by mass. All are cordially invited.
  6. In preparation for the Feast of St. Francis Xavier, the Konkani Community is organizing a Football Fiesta on Friday, 22nd November at the Indian Club with a six-a-side men’s football tournament and four-a-side men’s and women’s penalty shoot-out from 7am onwards.
  7. There will be an Advent Retreat in Malayalam led by Fr. Danny Capuchin from Monday, 25th November to Thursday, 28th November after the evening mass. On Wednesday, 27th November, the 7.00 pm mass in English followed by Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
  8. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for November celebrants will be held on Saturday, 30thNovember at the 6.30 pm Mass. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved.
    Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 29th November.
  9. There will be a Christmas Carol Singing Competition, open to all parishioners of the Church and Cathedral, on Thursday, 5th December at 7.30 pm at the outdoor stage in the Sacred Heart Church compound. Registration, for 10 groups only, has commenced and Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office. Last date for submission is 30th November.
  10. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2024” on Friday, 20th December. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code from the banner displayed in the courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th December.
  11. As part of the Parish Youth formation, a desk has been set up in the church courtyard. People in the age group of 16 to 35 are encouraged to register their names and be a part of the Parish Youth of Sacred Heart Church.
  12. As the church celebrates the world youth day on 24th November, the parish youth conduct a special short musical event on 23rd Saturday after the 6:30 PM Mass to pray for the World Peace. This is an occasion to come together in faith, raising our voices to spread a message of unity and peace.
  13. AVONA Women, a program initiative by H.E. Bishop Aldo Berardi is organizing a 2-day Conference with the theme “Women Discipleship and Participation in a Synodal Church in Mission” on Friday, 29th November from 2pm to 5pm at St. Padre Pio Social Hall, Sacred Heart Church, Manama and on Saturday, 30th November from 1pm to 3.30pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, Awali followed by Holy Mass celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi at 3.30pm. Women interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office. Transportation is provided, kindly refer to the Parish Notice Board.
  14. The Parish Office is now able to accept payments through scan-to-pay with credit or debit cards for mass intentions, certificates, contributions, and various other services.
