1. As we begin the Holy Season of Advent, parishioners are invited to make their confessions while the priests are available in the confessionals.
2. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for November celebrants will be held on Saturday, 30thNovember at the 6.30 pm Mass. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 29th November.
3. Monday, 2nd December is the Birthday of our Parish Priest, Fr. Francis. There will be a Thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 pm. Please pray for his intentions.
4. Tuesday, 3rd December is the 8th Anniversary of the Ordination of Fr. Charbel. There will be a Thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 pm. Please pray for his intentions.
5. The First Friday Parish olHolHnknklHoly Hour will be held on 6th December at 3.45 pm.
6. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2024” on Friday, 20th December. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code from the banner displayed in the courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th December.
7. Parishioners between the ages of 35 to 55, who are interested in becoming Extraordinary Ministers for Holy Communion in Sacred Heart Church – Manama, are asked to collect the Registration Form from the Parish Office and return the same, duly filled in, with the supporting documents in due time.  It is only for those who are available to serve the parish masses and not for those who are involved in any other liturgical ministries of the parish. Last date for submission is 31st December.
8. The Commemoration of the Dedication of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, which was consecrated in 2021, will be celebrated at the Cathedral on Tuesday, 10th December at the 7.00 pm mass.
9. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 11th December from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room.  For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
10. The Konkani Community will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis Xavier on Friday, 6th December. The 9 Day Novena in Konkani led by Fr. Steve Rodrigues, the Provincial of the Capuchin Fathers of Goa. The Feast celebrations on 6th December will begin with the blessing of the relic at the outdoor stage at 8.00 am followed by mass and celebration at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
11. The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in accordance with the Marian apparitions of Fatima, which call upon the church to pray for world peace. Holy rosary will be prayer at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church led by the Legion of Mary. Let us come together as one family in spiritual solidarity with the victims of wars and political unrest all over the world.
12. The Tamil community will have their Advent Retreat, led by visiting priest Fr. Prem Anand, OFM Cap, from Tuesday, 10th December to Friday, 13th December at the Mother Church from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
13. The Filipino community will have their Advent Retreat, led by visiting priest Fr. Jeffrey Torres, OFM Cap, at the Mother Church on Wednesday, 11th December from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm and on Thursday, 12th December from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia in Awali.
14. The Konkani Community will hold a Mini Night Vigil on Thursday, 12th December from 7.30 pm to midnight. All Konkani speakers are encouraged to participate.
15. There will be a Christmas Carol Singing Competition, open to all parishioners of the Church and Cathedral, on Thursday, 5th December at 7.30 pm at the outdoor stage in the Sacred Heart Church compound. Registration, for 10 groups only, has commenced and Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office. Last date for submission is 30th November.
16. Our Parish Family Day is scheduled for 6th and 7th February 2025. The unveiling of the logo and the official launch of Family Day Support Coupon will take place on Friday, 29th November on the outdoor stage soon after the 8.45 am mass. All are requested to attend.
17. As part of the Parish Youth formation, a desk has been set up in the church courtyard. People in the age group of 16 to 35 are encouraged to register their names and be a part of the Parish Youth of Sacred Heart Church.
18. AVONA Women, a program initiative by H.E. Bishop Aldo Berardi is organizing a 2-day Conference with the theme “Women Discipleship and Participation in a Synodal Church in Mission” on Friday, 29th November from 2pm to 5pm at St. Padre Pio Social Hall, Sacred Heart Church, Manama and on Saturday, 30th November from 1pm to 3.30pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, Awali followed by Holy Mass celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi at 3.30pm. Women interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office. Transportation is provided, kindly refer to the Parish Notice Board.
