1. The Annual Vicariate Priests Retreat will be held in Bahrain from Monday, 13th to Thursday, 16th January. Kindly keep all of them in your prayers and pray for the success of this retreat. The English masses, in the morning and evening, from Monday to Thursday will be held as usual. During these days there will be no language masses.
2. Friday, 10th January, is the Birthday of Fr. Darel. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at 5.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.  Sunday, 12th January, is the Birthday of Fr. Nicolson. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at 5.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us pray for their intentions.
3. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be held on Wednesday, 15th January from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room.  For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
4. The Feast of Our Lady of Arabia, Patroness of our Vicariate, will be celebrated on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th January. The Feast mass will be on Friday 17th at the 8.45 am mass. The Nine-Day Novena has commenced and is being held after the evening Masses.  Due to this Novena, the Novena in honour of St. Anthony will not be prayed on Tuesday, 14th January, and there will be only one Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday, 15th January after the 5.30pm Mass. For the Schedule of the Novena of Our Lady of Arabia, please refer to the Parish Notice Board.
5. In preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Arabia, there will be a Marian Retreat in the Cathedral, led by Fr. Dibin Aluvassery VC from Tabor Ashram, Mumbai. The Retreat in English will be from Monday, 13th January to Thursday, 16th Januaryfrom 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm and the Retreat in Malayalam will be from Monday, 20th January to Thursday, 23rd January from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
6. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 17th January at the Audio Video Room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 16th January. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate. Late comers will not be accepted for the course.  
7. Our Parish will celebrate Parish Family Day 2025, titled “LA FAMILIA 2025”, with the theme “Together We Celebrate in Christ” on Thursday, 6th February and Friday, 7thFebruary 2025.  As the Family Day approaches and we anticipate additional support in the form of cash as well as gifts for the stalls, we request any parishioners with contacts in establishments to please approach the La Familia Counter. Family Day support coupons and souvenirs are now available at the counter set up in the church courtyard, Parish Office and Religious Gift Corner. All proceeds will go towards the renovation and refurbishment of Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.  We look forward to your generous support and prayers to make “LAFAMILIA 2025” a grand success. 8. The Filipino Community will celebrate the Feast of Santo Niño on Friday, 24th January at the 11.30 am mass. On this day, the assembly time for the entrance procession before the mass, will be at 11.30 am near the outdoor stage. Please bring your Santo Niño statues for blessing during this service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this mass. All devotees of the Infant Jesus are also welcome to participate. Due to the Feast Mass at the Sacred Heart Church, the regular 10.30 am Obligation Mass will take place at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. The nine-day Novena in English will be held from 15th January to 23rd January every day at 8.00 pm in the Mother Church followed by mass.
9. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for January celebrants will be held on Saturday, 25th January at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 24th January.
10. For the first time we have printed a Bible Diary for the Year 2025. It will be available at the Religious Gift Corner and in the Parish Office. The price is BD 5/-. As limited copies are available, kindly patronise.
11. Parish Calendars for 2025 are now available at the Parish Office and Religious Gift Corner.
12. There will be a one day programme in English entitled “The Greatest Call 2025,” which is being organised by Bishop Aldo Berardi, for all the nurses of our parish which will be held on Saturday 18th January at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, Awali. We request the participation of all nurses from different communities for this one-day event. Registration will commence this week after all obligation Masses. The registration fee is BD 2/- per person. Please contact your Spiritual Director for more information.
