1. The Feast Mass of Our Lady of Arabia, Patroness of our Vicariate, will be celebrated on Friday, 17th January at the 8.45 am mass.
2. There will be a Marian Retreat in Malayalam at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, led by Fr. Dibin Aluvassery VC from Tabor Ashram, Mumbai from Monday, 20th January to Thursday, 23rd January from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
3. All are invited to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord Jesus on January 31st, 2025, at 5 PM. We will hold a special Mass dedicated to children under the age of 12, infants and expectant mothers. Please occupy the benches reserved in the front.
4. This year, the Family Day celebrations will be held on two days. On Thursday, 6th February, from 7pm to 9.30 pm, join us for a peaceful and serene evening entitled Soul Café where there will be a vast array of barbeque delights by different communities, games as well as traditional, nostalgic live music on the stage. On Friday, 7th February from 8am to 8pm the official La Familia celebrations begin with food stalls from various communities, games stalls for all individuals, stage programmes and spot prizes throughout the day. From 8pm to 10pm, the festivities continue with a Jam session at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium with amazing prizes. Make sure you take a support coupon or two which are available at the La Familia Stall in the church courtyard. Generous benefactors may donate gifts for the various stalls to the Parish Office.
5. The Filipino Community will celebrate the Feast of Santo Niño on Friday, 24th January at the 11.30 am mass. On this day, the assembly time for the entrance procession before the mass, will be at 11.30 am near the outdoor stage. Please bring your Santo Niño statues for blessing during this service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this mass. All devotees of the Infant Jesus are also welcome to participate. Due to the Feast Mass at the Sacred Heart Church, the regular 10.30 am Obligation Mass will take place at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. The nine-day Novena in English will be held from 15th January to 23rd January every day at 8.00 pm in the Mother Church followed by mass.
6. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for January celebrants will be held on Saturday, 25th January at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 24th January.
7. For the first time we have printed a Bible Diary for the Year 2025. It will be available at the Religious Gift Corner and in the Parish Office. The price is BD 5/-. As limited copies are available, kindly patronise.
8. Parish Calendars for 2025 are now available at the Parish Office and Religious Gift Corner.
9. There will be a one day programme in English entitled “The Greatest Call 2025,” which is being organised by Bishop Aldo Berardi, for all the nurses of our parish which will be held on Saturday 18th January at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, Awali. We request the participation of all nurses from different communities for this one-day event. Registration will commence this week after all obligation Masses. The registration fee is BD 2/- per person. Please contact your Spiritual Director for more information.
