1. On Thursday, 10th April, Priest Fr. Victor Prakash celebrates the 15th Anniversary of his Ordination with a Thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 pm at the Sacred Heart Church. Please join us as we pray for his intentions.
2. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 4th April at 3.15 pm. This will be followed by the Stations of the Cross in the courtyard at 4.15 pm.
3. All parishioners interested in seeking a deeper spiritual journey and learning more about the Order of Franciscan Secular are invited to participate in the Holy Adoration Hour and interactive gathering on 8th April at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church immediately after the 6.30 pm mass.
4. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be held on Wednesday, 9th April from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
5. Palm Sunday will be celebrated on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April. Palms will be blessed on Friday at 6.50 am and Sunday at 6.50 pm at the outdoor stage. Palms will be distributed at all obligation masses.
6. In preparation for Palm Sunday, we require volunteers to clean the palms in preparation for Palm Sunday. Parishioners interested in serving are requested to be present outside the Kindergarten Block commencing from Monday, 7th to Thursday, 10th April after the evening mass, to assist the Malayalam Community, Legion of Mary and Konkani Community.
7. The Way of the Cross will be enacted by Jesus Youth on Palm Friday, 11th April at 3.15 pm in the courtyard of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As one parish, let us accompany Jesus as He makes His sorrowful way to Calvary “Via Dolorosa – Depth of God’s Love” and meditate on the great love He showed for us. During this time there should be no other parish activities. Please communicate and encourage your respective communities to participate in this meaningful service.
8. The Chrism Mass, presided over by H. E. Bishop Aldo Berardi, will be celebrated on Tuesday, 15th April at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia at 7.00 pm. Buses have been arranged from the Arts & Craft Centre at 6.00 pm., 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm. Due to this, the evening mass and confessions will not be held at the Sacred Heart Church.
9. During Holy Week, there should not be any gatherings, meetings or prayer services of any kind during parish events such as the Way of The Cross.
10. In preparation for the Holy Week, while the priests are available in the confessionals, parishioners are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to make their confessions.
11. There will be a Kids and Teens Retreat for parish children from Class 1 to 12 commencing from Tuesday, 1st July to Thursday, 3rd July. This retreat is compulsory for all children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Timings and other details will be announced later.
12. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from September 21st to September 30th and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee. Those interested in participating are to register their names at the Parish Office.
13. During this season of Lent, let us unite in generosity and compassion, offering our donations under the patronage of St. Anthony, POSA, to support those in need. Your kindness makes a difference, please come forward and share your contribution.
14. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2025” on Friday, 16th May. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code on the banner displayed in the church courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th May.
15. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion for Parish Catechism children will be held on Friday, 25th April and for Sacred Heart School children on Friday, 2nd May. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Friday, 9th May.
16. Please join us for an essential Medical training session led by a qualified Medical Professional to equip ourselves with the skills to handle emergency medical situations effectively. It will be conducted on Saturday 12th April at 7:30pm at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. All are invited.
