8. The Chrism Mass, presided over by H. E. Bishop Aldo Berardi, will be celebrated on Tuesday, 15th April at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia at 7.00 pm. Buses have been arranged from the Arts & Craft Centre at 6.00 pm., 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm.
   All Lay Ministers (Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Altar Servers) attending the mass are requested to wear their uniform or cassock. Community leaders are also invited to attend the Chrism Mass as a sign of communion and unity.
   Please note that confessions will be held in the morning on Monday, 14th April, Tuesday, 15th April, Wednesday, 16th April, and Thursday, 17th April from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. And in the evening 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm. On Tuesday, 15th April there will be no Mass and no confessions at the Sacred Heart Church. On Maundy Thursday, 17th April confessions will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
9. On 17th April, the Maundy Thursday service will commence at 7.30 pm at the Sacred Heart School grounds in Isa Town. We will have the Adoration at the Altar of Repose immediately after the service.
10. 18th April is Good Friday, a day of fast and abstinence. The Good Friday Service will begin at 5:00 pm with the Way of the Cross at the Sacred Heart School grounds in Isa Town. The collection made on Good Friday will go towards the Holy Land.
11. On Saturday, 19th April, the Easter Vigil service will begin at 7.30 pm at the Sacred Heart School grounds in Isa Town. Please bring your own battery-operated candle to the Vigil and light it from the Paschal Candle.
12. 20th April is Easter Sunday. The Mass timing, please refer to the Banner in the church courtyard. On Easter Sunday, Holy Water will be distributed in the church courtyard after every mass. Kindly bring your own empty bottle.
13. Parishioners interested in supporting by way of cash for the Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services at Isa Town and Manama may give their donation to the Parish Office.
14. For those who have difficulty with transport to Isa Town, arrangements have been made for bus services from the Art and Craft Center Bus Stop at Al Zubara Avenue The timings are as follows:
    On Holy Thursday, Buses will leave at 6.00 pm, 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm.
    On Good Friday, Buses will leave at 3.30 pm, 3.45 pm and 4.00 pm.
    On Holy Saturday, Buses will leave at 6.00 pm, 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm.
    Those coming to Sacred Heart School for the services and have space available in their personal vehicles are requested to kindly pass by the steel gate of the church to accommodate the faithful.
15. We require Ushers (Hospitality Ministers) for the Holy Week services here in Manama and in Isa Town. Interested parishioners are to submit their names and contact details to the Parish Office by 14th April at the latest.
16. There will be an offertory procession during the Mass at all Easter Sunday masses. Parishioners are encouraged to bring offertory items and join the procession during the mass. These offerings will be distributed to the needy in the parish through Poor of St. Anthony.
17. While coming for the services at Isa Town and Manama, parishioners are requested to park their vehicles properly without hindering traffic on the main road and to avoid traffic congestion.
18. There will be a Kids and Teens Retreat for parish children from Class 1 to 12 commencing from Tuesday, 1st July to Thursday, 3rd July. This retreat is compulsory for all children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Timings and other details will be announced later.
19. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from September 21st to September 30th and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee. Those interested in participating are to register their names at the Parish Office.
20. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2025” on Friday, 16th May. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code on the banner displayed in the church courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th May.
21. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion for Parish Catechism children will be held on Friday, 25th April and for Sacred Heart School children on Friday, 2nd May. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Friday, 9th May.
22. Please join us for an essential Medical Training Session led by a qualified Medical Professional, Mrs. Freeda Sequeira from American Mission Hospital, to equip ourselves with the skills to handle emergency medical situations effectively. It will be conducted on Saturday, 12th April at 7:30pm at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
23. The Avona Women’s Program will host a talk on “Theology of the Body” led by Ms. Adeline Khouri. This journey includes: Part 1 : Living testimony & Part 2: Teaching and reflection. It will be held on Thursday, 24th April at the Cathedral of our Lady of Arabia from 8.00pm to 9.30 pm. and on Saturday, 26th April at St. Padre Pio Hall, Sacred Heart Church, Manama from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
