1. All the Capuchin priests of our Vicariate will be attending their Annual Chapter Meeting in Abu Dhabi from Monday, 12th to Thursday, 15th May. During this period, there will be no language masses from Monday to Thursday in the Sacred Heart Church. Please pray for the success of this meeting.
2. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion for Sacred Heart School children will be on Friday, 2nd May. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Friday, 9th May.
3. During the month of May, the Holy Rosary will be prayed at the Grotto 40 minutes before the evening Mass.
4. During the whole month of May, a traditional Marian devotion called “Flores De Mayo” will be held every Friday afternoon from 1:30 – 3:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Everyone, especially children, dressed in white, may take part in the prayers, petitions and flower offerings as a special devotion to our Blessed Mother. Personal petitions can be dropped in the heart-shaped box placed at the Altar. The Flores De Mayo culminates on the Feast of Our Lady’s Visitation on 31st May.
5. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 2nd May at 3.45 pm.
6. The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Holy Rosary, led by the Legion of Mary, will be prayed on 3rd May at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
7. Priest, Fr. Victor Prakash celebrates his Birthday on Thursday, 8th May with a Thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 pm. Let us participate and pray for his intentions.
8. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 14th May from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
9. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2025” on Friday, 16th May. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code on the banner displayed in the church courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th May.
10. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 16th May at the Audio Video Room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 15th May. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate. Late comers will not be accepted for the course.
11. There will be a Kids and Teens Retreat for parish children from Class 1 to 12 commencing from Tuesday, 1st July to Thursday, 3rd July. This retreat is compulsory for all children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Timings and other details will be announced later.
12. The papal intention for the month of May 2025 is to pray for working conditions
    so that through work, each person might find fulfillment, families might be sustained in dignity, and that society might be humanized.
13. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from September 21st to September 30th and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee.
