1. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered by H. E. Bishop Aldo Berardi, the Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, on Friday, 9th May at 4.00 pm at the Sacred Heart Church. The usual obligation English Mass at 5.00 pm will be moved to Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
2. All the Capuchin priests of our Vicariate will be attending their Annual Chapter Meeting in Abu Dhabi from Monday, 12th to Thursday, 15th May. Due to this, there will be no language masses from Monday to Thursday. Please pray for the success of this meeting.
3. During the whole month of May, a traditional Marian devotion called “Flores De Mayo” will be held every Friday afternoon from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. On Friday, 9th May, the Flores De Mayo will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. Everyone, especially children, dressed in white, may take part in the prayers, petitions and flower offerings as a special devotion to our Blessed Mother. Personal petitions can be dropped in the heart-shaped box placed at the Altar. The Flores De Mayo culminates on the Feast of Our Lady’s Visitation on 31st May.
4. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 14th May from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
5. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2025” on Friday, 16th May. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Those who are yet to register, may do so on the spot registration desk in the church compound on May 16th from 3:00 to 3:30pm.
6. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 16th May at the Audio Video Room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 15th May. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate. Late comers will not be accepted for the course.
7. On the occasion of Nurses Day, the Nurses Ministry is organizing a half-day Formation programme in English for all the nurses of our parish on Saturday, 17th May from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm at the Sacred Heart Church.
8. There will be a Kids & Teens Retreat “ IGNITE 2025 – Encounter Jesus’ Heart “ , for parish children from Class 1 to 12 commencing from Tuesday 01st July to Thursday 03rd July from 8:00am & 4:00pm. Morning snacks & Lunch will be provided. Registration forms are available at Parish office / Catechism office and Religious gift corner. This Retreat is compulsory for all Parish children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Last date to submit the Registration form is 06th June. For more details, please refer to the banner displayed on the outdoor stage..
9. During the month of May, the Holy Rosary will be prayed at the Grotto 40 minutes before the evening Mass.
10. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from September 21st to September 30th and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee. 11. The Konkani Community cordially invites all Konkani speakers to an entertaining evening celebrating the vibrant cultures of Goa and Mangalore. Join them at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium on Thursday, May 22nd, starting at 7:30 PM, for a musical evening featuring stars such as Sonia Shirsat, Ester Noronha, Lawry Travasso, Norman Cardozo, and the renowned MC Felly Gomes, alongside performances by our talented local artists. Entry is free.
12. The AVONA Women’s Program under the guidance of H.E. Bishop Aldo Berardi, OSST invites all women to a symposium titled ” You Are Beautifully Made – Care for the Gift” will be held on Friday, May 23, 10:30 AM to 12 noon at the AVR, Sacred Heart Parish. A special gathering on breast care awareness, faith, and the beauty of   womanhood, with guest speakers Dr. Joyce De Leon Lopez and Ms. Maricelle Ignacia Agton. Admission is free.
