Announcements for 27th, 28th, 29th May 2022

  1. The Solemnity of Pentecost will be celebrated on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June. The 9-Day Novena in preparation for the Solemnity to the Holy Spirit has commenced and is being prayed every evening soon after the English Mass.
  2. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 3rd June at 3.45 pm in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
  3. The Pentecost Night Vigil in English with the theme “Ignite Your Passion” will be held on Thursday, 2nd June from 8.30 pm onwards. All Parishioners are invited to participate and be blessed with the Power of the Holy Spirit. Please refer to the Parish Notice Board and banner in the Church compound for further details.
  4. On Tuesday, 31st May at 6.30 pm we honour the Feast of our Lady’s visitation and closing the Marian month of May.  Parishioners who have statues of Mother Mary bring them for blessing after the mass. Flores De Meyo and First Holy Communion children will come in their all white attire with fresh flowers offering. There will be a Rosary Procession and offering of flowers immediately after the mass. Personal petitions may be dropped in the heart-shaped box in front of the altar. These will be blessed and burned at the conclusion of the procession.
  5. The African Community will celebrate the Feast of their Patron, Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions on 2nd and 3rd June 2022. On Thursday, 2nd June there will be a typical African-styled Holy Mass at 7.15 pm in the Mother Church and on Friday, 3rd June there will be an Offertory Procession during the 5.00 pm English Mass, followed by light refreshments after Mass. All parishioners are invited to be a part of the celebrations.
  6. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 11th May, from 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm, at Audio Video room.  For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the parish office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
  7. As we move forward towards the end of the Synod process, we thank all those parishioners who have filled in the online questionnaire so that your views and thoughts may be shared with the Holy Father.  However, we still require more feedback. We understand that this may be difficult for some and with this in mind, we have printed copies which will be distributed after every obligation mass this week.  Only those who have not yet filled the questionnaire online or are unable to access the link are to take one copy per family. We request you to please fill them out and submit the duly filled-in forms to the Parish Office or alternatively to any priest.  Last date for submission is 1st  June. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY 7AM AND 9AM MASS ONLY

  • First Holy Communion for children from the Malayalam Community will be held today.  The regular 11am Obligation Mass in English will be shifted to Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR ALL MASSES ON FRIDAY

  • The Wedding Anniversary Mass for May celebrants will be held tomorrow Saturday, 28thMay at the 6.30 pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved.
