1. Monday, 30th January is the Episcopal Ordination of our Apostolic Administrator Bishop Paul Hinder. Please keep him in your prayers.
2. Our Parish Priest, Fr. Xavier celebrates the 11th Anniversary of his Ordination on Monday, 30th January. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at 6.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us participate and pray for his intentions.
3. On Thursday, 2nd February, we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
4. All parishioners interested in becoming Extraordinary Ministers for Holy Communion are requested to collect the Registration Form from the Parish Office and return the same duly filled in with the supporting documents. Only those who are available to serve for all parish masses are to register. Last date for submission is 29th January.
5. The much awaited Family event of the parish, Family Day 2023 with the theme “Family, Communion of Love,” will be held on Friday, 3rd February on the church grounds from 8am to 8pm. Parishioners, we count on your support for this Family Day by donating tinned food items, gifts, giveaways etc. which may be given at the Parish Office earlier. Snacks and cooked food can be handed over on the same day. There will be a Fancy Dress competition for children up to 10 years of age at 10.30 am. Registration forms are available with the Parish Office. Last date for entries is 1st February at 7pm. For further details, please refer to the Parish Notice Board.
6. On the Family Day, there will only be three Obligation Masses in English at 7.00 am, 8.45 am and 5.00 pm and a Mass in Tagalog at 12.00 pm in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium, the entry to which will be from Al Zubara Avenue.
7. The Sacred Heart Church Music Ministry invites singers and musicians, who would like to use their talents to glorify the Lord at the various English masses, to register their names at the Parish Office or with any of the choir members.
8. To mark the visit of the Holy Father Pope Francis to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a souvenir book has been released. A digital copy is available on the church website.
   All families, communities and organizations that have placed advertisements in this book, upon presentation of receipt number and CPR card, may collect a book from the office next to Parish Priest on the 1st Floor, above the Mother Church every evening, except Fridays, from 5.30 pm to 7 pm until 1st February.
9. As a memento of the Holy Father’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a customized and limited edition plaque has been released, which are only 100 in number. You may book your plaque in the Parish Office at the earliest. The plaque is priced at BD 25, inclusive of the commemorative gold-plated coin.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR ALL MASSES ON FRIDAY MORNING

1. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for December and January celebrants will be held tomorrow at the 6.30 pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate.  Today is the last date to sign up.
