1. The Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi has appointed Fr. Francis Padavupurackkal Joseph as the new Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain with effect from 1st October 2023. Let us pray for Fr. Francis as he takes on this new responsibility. Further details will be released in due course.
2. On Thursday, 20th July we celebrate the Anniversary of the Priestly Ordination of our beloved shepherd, Bishop Aldo Berardi. May the Lord bless his commitment to his office, as a good shepherd who is always concerned about his sheep, granting him wisdom, strength and grace, to guide us, his flock, towards fresh and green pastures.
3. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 21st July in the St. Dominic Savio Hall from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those taking part are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes, along with the date of Confirmation before 19th July. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
4. We celebrate Grandparents Day on Thursday, 27th July. There will be a Thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 pm followed by the festivities at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. We invite all the grandparents of our parish to attend both, the Mass and the programme thereafter. Those attending are requested to register their names in the Parish Office before 24th July in order to make the necessary arrangements.
