1. Friday, 12th January is the Birthday of Fr. Nicolson. A Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at 5.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us join and pray for his intentions.
2. The Feast of Our Lady of Arabia, Patroness of our Vicariate, will be celebrated on Friday, 12th and Saturday, 13th January. 
3. The Feast of Our Lady of Arabia will be celebrated at the Cathedral in Awali on Friday, 12th January at 9.30 am. There will be Pontifical Mass by H.E. Bishop Aldo Berardi and all the priests. All are welcome. Due to the Feast and the Family Day at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia on this day, all Catechism classes and the 9.00 am Catechism Children Mass and the 10.30 am Youth Mass remain cancelled. 
4. The Annual Vicariate Priests Meeting will be held in Bahrain from Monday, 15th to Thursday, 18th January. Kindly keep all of them in your prayers and pray for the success of this meeting. The English masses in the morning and evening from Monday to Thursday will be held as usual.  
5. The Filipino Community will celebrate the Feast of Santo Niño on Friday, 19th January at the 11.30 am mass. On this day, the assembly time for the entrance procession before the mass, will be at 11.30 am near the outdoor stage. Please bring your Santo Niño statues for blessing during this service. We invite all the Filipino members of our Parish to attend this mass. All devotees of the Infant Jesus are also welcome to participate. Due to the Feast Mass at the Sacred Heart Church, the regular 10.30 am Obligation Mass will take place at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
   The nine-day Novena in English has commenced and is being prayed every day at 8.00 pm in the Mother Church followed by mass.
6. There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 26th January in the St. Dominic Savio Hall from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those taking part are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 25th January. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate.
7. All are welcome to serve as a Catechist for the English Catechism Ministry at the Sacred Heart Church. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity by completing the form at the Parish Office and submitting it before 15th January. The Formation Course will start on 19th January.
8. All parishioners are invited to attend the Bible Classes conducted by Fr Nelson Lobo, Director of Catechesis and Bible Studies (AVONA) which will be held in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium on Mondays 22nd & 29th January, and 5th February from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm. Everyone is encouraged to join and grow in knowledge of the scriptures.
9. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for January celebrants will be held on Saturday, 27th January at the 6.30 pm Mass. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 26th January.
10. The much-awaited family event of the parish, Family Day 2024 will be held on Friday, 9th February on the church grounds from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. Parishioners, we count on your support for this Family Day by donating tinned food items, gifts, giveaways etc. which may be given at the Parish Office earlier. Snacks and cooked food can be handed over on the same day. There will be entertainment and stage programmes throughout the day, ensuring a fun day out for the entire family. 11. On Saturday 13th January, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Arabia with a     concelebrated solemn mass at 6.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
