ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 26TH, 27TH & 28TH APRIL 2024

  1. Saturday, 27th April, is the Ordination Day of Fr. Darel. Let us pray for his intentions.
  2. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for March and April celebrants will be held on Saturday, 27th April at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 26th April.
  3. On Wednesday, 1st May we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph, the Worker.
  4. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 3rd May at 3.45 pm.
  5. During the month of May, the Holy Rosary will be prayed at the Grotto 40 minutes before the evening Mass.
  6. During the whole month of May, a traditional Marian devotion called “Flores De Mayo” will be held every Friday afternoon from 1:30 – 3:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Everyone, especially children, dressed in white, may take part in the prayers, petitions and flower offerings as a special devotion to our Blessed Mother. Also personal petitions can be dropped in the heart-shaped box placed at the Altar. The Flores De Mayo culminates on the Feast of Our Lady’s Visitation on 31st May.
  7. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be on Wednesday, 8th May from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
  8. The Solemnity of Pentecost will be celebrated on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May. The 9-Day Novena in preparation for the Solemnity to the Holy Spirit will commence from Wednesday, 8th May in the evening, soon after the English Mass.
  9. The Pentecost Night Vigil in English will be held on Thursday, 16th May from 7.15 pm onwards. All Parishioners are invited to participate and be blessed with the power of the Holy Spirit.
  10. The first Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  The First Saturday Devotion will be held on 4th May, at the 6.30 pm English mass.  The Holy Rosary for world peace will be prayed before the mass in the Sacred Heart Church.  Let us come together as one family to honour the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  11. The CFC handmaids of the Lord invites all mature women, single mothers, widows or married women whose husbands are not in Bahrain to attend a Christian Life Programme every Friday from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm from 3rd May to 28th June. Application forms are available at the Parish Office and from any Couples for Christ handmaids of the Lord members.
  12. There will be a Kids and Teens Retreat for parish children from Class 1 to Class 12, commencing from 29th June to 2nd July, which will be animated by the Anointing Fire Catholic Youth Ministry team from U.S.A. This retreat is compulsory for all children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Timings and other details will be announced later.
  13. The Holy Door pilgrimage will be conducted at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia every Monday immediately after the 7.00 pm Mass in English. Pilgrims entering through the Holy Door are eligible to receive plenary indulgences for themselves or the souls of the faithful departed.
  14. The Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia proudly presents the commemorative coin of St. Arethas and Our Lady of Arabia, with the blessings of His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi. This coin has the image of St Arethas on one side and the image of Our Lady of Arabia on the other. Priced at BD10 per piece, the income generated from selling the same will be used towards the construction of our Bishop’s House. Let us keep this coin in our homes as a souvenir and a blessing. May the intercession of Our Lady of Arabia, and St. Arethas and Companions help us all.
