1. Friday, 12th April is the 4th Death Anniversary of the Late Bishop Camillo Ballin. A Holy Mass will be offered for his soul at 7.00 pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia.
2. Bishop Aldo Berardi will make a pastoral visit from April 14 to 25, and all the communities are requested to be ready with their annual report.
3. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Friday, 19th April. On this day, the 10.30 am obligation Mass in English will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
4. On Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April, we observe Vocation Sunday or Good Shepherd Sunday. On this, the 61st Anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, as pilgrims of hope and builders of peace, let us pray for more vocations, especially to the priesthood and consecrated life.
5. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for March and April celebrants will be held on Saturday, 27th April at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 26th April.
6. This is a reminder to personally drop your Lenten Alms Envelopes in the boxes labeled “Lenten Alms” which are located at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church and the Mother Church.
7. The CFC Singles for Christ will be conducting a Christian Life Programme for single men and women, every Friday at 1.30 pm commencing from 22nd March to 24th May. Couples for Christ invite married couples to attend their Christian Life Programme every Friday at 5.00 pm from 5th April to 7th June. CFC Servants of the Lord invites men of 40 years and above who are single fathers, widowers or married men whose wives are not in Bahrain, to attend the Christian Life Programme every Friday at 1.30 pm from 5th April to 31st May at the St. Francis Centre. Application forms are available at the Parish Office and from any Couples for Christ members. For more details, please refer to the Notice Boards.
8. There will be a Kids and Teens Retreat for parish children from Class 1 to Class 12, commencing from 29th June to 2nd July, which will be animated by the Anointing Fire Catholic Youth Ministry team from U.S.A. This retreat is compulsory for all children. Parents, please make arrangements for your vacation accordingly. Timings and other details will be announced later.
9. The Holy Door pilgrimage will be conducted at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia every Monday immediately after the 7.00 pm Mass in English. Pilgrims entering through the Holy Door are eligible to receive plenary indulgences for themselves or the souls of the faithful departed.
