1. The Feast of Corpus Christi, the Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ will be celebrated on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June. On Friday, 20th June after the 8.45 am mass there will be a procession from Sacred Heart Church to the Mother Church. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Silent Adoration which be led by different communities at the Mother Church till 3.30 pm, after which there will be a procession back to the Sacred Heart Church, concluding with a Parish Holy Hour at 3.45 pm. The Adoration Chapel will remain closed on this day.
2. We observe the Vigil of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist on Monday, 23rd June at the 6.30 pm mass and celebrate the Nativity of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, 24th June.
3. Tuesday, 24th June is the Birthday of our late Bishop Camillo Ballin. Let us pray that through the mercy of God, his soul may rest in peace.
4. The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, our Parish Feast will be celebrated on Friday, 27th June at 8.45 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The 9-Day Novena led by the various communities has already commenced. On Tuesday, 24th June, the Novena in honour of St. Anthony will not be prayed and on Wednesday, 25th June, there will only be one mass at 6.30 pm, and the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will not be prayed. During this Novena period, please note that there will be no other para-liturgical services, and we encourage all parishioners to participate in the Novena. Parishioners interested in donating flowers for the Feast may put their contributions in the box placed at the main entrance of the Sacred Heart Church. On the day of the Feast, various Parish communities will come together and put up an entertainment programme in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
5. As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, on the same day we also observe the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests. Please pray for priests all over the world, that they may live lives of holiness and fidelity to Christ and his Church.
6. We observe the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles on Saturday, 28th and Sunday, 29th June. The Peter Pence collection for Holy Father’s works of charity will be done at all masses on these days.
7. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for June celebrants will be held on Saturday, 28th June at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 27th June.
8. There will be a Kids & Teens Retreat entitled “IGNITE 2025 – Encounter Jesus’ Heart” for parish children from Class 1 to 12 commencing from Tuesday, 1st July to Thursday, 3rd July from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. Morning snacks & Lunch will be provided. Registration Forms are available at the Parish Office, Catechism Office and Religious Gift Corner. Last date to submit the Registration Form is 22nd June. For more details, please refer to the banner displayed on the outdoor stage. We need volunteers for the upcoming Kids & Teens Retreat from 1st to 3rd July. 9. We are pleased to inform you that a Special session for all parents in our parish will be held on Saturday, 28th June from 7:30pm to 9.00pm at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. This session will be conducted by the Kids & Teens Retreat animators. All parents are kindly requested to attend.
10. The Lectors Ministry invites interested parishioners who are committed, have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and are willing and capable of proclaiming the Word of God loudly and clearly to register by submitting their name, telephone number and email address at the Parish Office before 23rd June.
11. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from 21st September to 30th September, and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee. Those interested in participating are to register their names at the Parish Office.
12. The Pontifical Society of the Childhood of Jesus announces registration for new members! Children from Standard 4 to Standard 7 are welcome to join. The registration link and all details have been shared via the Catechism WhatsApp group and Sacred Heart School Google Classroom. Parents are encouraged to help their children to be part of this beautiful spiritual journey.
13. The African Community will celebrate the Feast of their Patron Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, on Friday, 20th June at 5.30 pm in the Mother Church, following which there will be a fellowship at St. Francis Block. All are invited.
