1. The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, our Parish Feast will be celebrated on Friday, 27th June at 8.45 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Parishioners interested in donating flowers for the Feast may put their contributions in the box placed at the main entrance of the Sacred Heart Church.
2. As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we also observe the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests. Please pray for priests all over the world, that they may live lives of holiness and fidelity to Christ and his Church.
3. We would like to inform you that the children’s retreat scheduled from July 1st to July 3rd has been canceled. We will inform you once the refund of the registration fees is ready for collection from the parish office.
4. The Malayalam Community will celebrate the Feast of St. Thomas, the Apostle on Friday, 4th July. In preparation for the feast, a 7-day Novena will commence with the flag hoisting on Friday, 27th June at 7.00 pm in the courtyard, followed by the Holy Mass and Novena at the Sacred Heart Church. The Feast Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 4th July at 10.30 am in the Sacred Heart Church. For more details, please refer to the banner displayed in the courtyard.
5. We observe the Vigil of the Saints Peter and Paul on Saturday, 28th June and the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles on Sunday, 29th June. The Peter Pence collection for Holy Father’s works of charity will be done at all masses on these days.
6. The Wedding Anniversary Mass for June celebrants will be held on Saturday, 28th June at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 27th June.
7. The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 4th July at 3.45 pm.
8. The next Pre-Baptism Seminar will be held on Wednesday, 9th July from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Audio Video Room. For registration, parents and godparents are requested to visit the Parish Office. This seminar is only for parishioners and expectant mothers too may register. Please be on time and do not bring children.
9. We are pleased to announce an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the Jubilee Year 2025 through a Holy Pilgrimage to Rome, from 21st September to 30th September, and 1st October to 10th October visits to Jubilee Shrines, and the reception of a Plenary Indulgence by engaging in Works of Mercy. This sacred journey is a call to deepen our faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace the grace of God during this special time of jubilee. Those interested in participating are to register their names at the Parish Office.
10. The Pontifical Society of the Childhood of Jesus announces registration for new members! Children from Standard 4 to Standard 7 are welcome to join. The registration link and all details have been shared via the Catechism WhatsApp group and Sacred Heart School Google Classroom. Parents are encouraged to help their children to be part of this beautiful spiritual journey.
11. All are invited to serve as a Catechist or volunteer at the English Catechism Ministry of the Sacred Heart Church. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity by completing the form at the Parish Office and submitting it by 31st July.
