- The First Saturday of each month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary The Holy Rosary on 1st March, led by the Legion of Mary, will be prayed for world peace at 5.40 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
- On Monday, 3rd March we commemorate the Dedication of the Mother Church with the solemnity masses being celebrated at 6.20 am and 6.30 pm in the Mother Church.
- Ash Wednesday, a day of fast and abstinence, is on 5th March. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at every mass on this day. On Ash Wednesday, the Masses in English will be at 5.30 am, 7.00 am, 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. For the timings of masses in other languages, please refer to the Parish Notice Board. The Novena Service to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour will not be prayed on Ash Wednesday.
Lenten Alms Envelopes will be distributed on Ash Wednesday, the proceeds of which will go towards the Campaign against Hunger and Thirst. Please take one envelope per family and return it with your contribution on or before Palm Sunday by dropping it in the boxes labelled Lenten Alms which are kept at the entrance of the Church.
During Lent, on Wednesdays, there will only be one Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help after the 7.00 pm Mass and the Way of the Cross on Wednesdays will be held at 6.15 pm and Fridays at 4.15 pm in the courtyard. - The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 7th March at 3.15 pm. This will be followed by the Stations of the Cross in the courtyard at 4.15 pm.
- All parishioners are invited to attend a Bible Course conducted by Fr Nelson Lobo, the Director of Catechesis and Bible Studies (AVONA) which will be held in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium on Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th March from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to join and grow in knowledge of the scriptures.
- There will be a Lenten Retreat in English which will be conducted by Fr. Bobby Thomas VC and will take place at the Sacred Heart Church from Monday, 17th March to Thursday, 20th March commencing with Holy Mass at 6.30 pm. Due to this, on Tuesday 18th March, the Novena in honour of St. Anthony will not be prayed. On Wednesday 19th March, the Stations of the Cross will be held at 6.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. There will be only one Mass at 6.30 pm followed by the Retreat and the Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help will not be prayed.
- There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 21st March at the Audio Video Room from 7.45 am to 5.00 pm. Those interested in attending are requested to register their names at the Parish Office and submit their Baptism Certificate, recently issued for marriage purposes along with the date of Confirmation before 20th March. The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The course fee is BD. 8/- per person, inclusive of lunch and the Certificate. Late comers will not be accepted for the course.
- All parishioners are requested to make time and attend the Parish Lenten Missions which will also be conducted in Konkani, Malayalam, Tamil and Tagalog. For details, please refer to the banner displayed in the church courtyard.
- The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2025” on Friday, 16th May. All are invited to join, no matter their level of knowledge. Registration for various age groups can be done by scanning the QR code on the banner displayed in the church courtyard. Last date for registration is 5th May.
- The Sacrament of First Holy Communion for Parish Catechism children will be held on Friday, 25th April at 10.15 am and for Sacred Heart School children on Friday, 2nd May at 10.15 am. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Friday, 9th May at 4.00 pm.
- Children who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to join the Altar Servers Ministry. Please fill in the Registration Form on the church website sacredheartchurchbahrain.org
